Villa Hermosa - a delightful, low key holiday hotel in Puglia. Very tranquil, impeccably clean, excellent breakfast included. Most charming and helpful staff, especially Claudia and Alessandra in the restaurant and Sylvia at the pool bar. Well situated for visiting the lovely beaches of Puglia. Great place to chill out and relax.

I had a nice stay at the Villa Hermosa. The room was small but nice and clean. The garden is lovely with a big swimming pool and palmtrees. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and could help with all our questions.

Resort is very nice and enjoyable.
The location is outside the village, so you need the car to get around.
We had B&B treat; breakfast was very good, and rich. Cakes were lovely.
Rooms are clean, and new; only a big mirror is missing ... Especially for women! The two available in the room are ok for men. Also, standard rooms are bit small, but comfortable anyway.
The Television is a bit too small!!!
We really enjoyed the holiday, and appreciated the cheap prices at the restaurants and pizzerie in the village!
Eating out is very cheap if compared to other places.
The beaches are amazing.

The worst experience at this hotel and trust me the proof is in the pictures. On September 18, 2023, I booked my hotel stay in Puglia for 4 nights at Villa Hermosa Hotel. Before booking, I made sure to check all reviews for this hotel. Everything seemed great, the pictures on booking and the reviews seemed promising as well. I booked a standard room with 1 queen bed for my fiancé and me. Long story short, my fiancé and I made our way to our hotel for early check-in. We were both very anxious to finally check in and settle down at our hotel. As soon as we walked into our room, we couldn’t help but notice a tiny, old, and filthy room.

Let’s just say that the pictures, services, and amenities that were described by booking, did not match upon our arrival at Hotel Villa Hermosa. Our AC did not work, the room was hot and humid, and the sheets were wet from the humidity. The room was very dirty, there was rust everywhere in the bathroom, our safe did not work, and was not bolted to the wall. The hotel staff knew the issues we had with our room and didn’t bother to come fix it for us. We took a tour of the hotel and couldn't believe how dirty, depressing, and old the pool area looked. The pool was yellow, the hot tub was even worse. To top it off, the hotel manager told us if we needed to use the pool, we had to use a shower cap at all times. It’s clear to say that the pool area was not at all as advertised on booking.com. I felt like I was lied to when I paid for my 4-night stay at this hotel. There was a random stain of blood on the sheets, the comforter was ripped. The bathroom was a disaster, there was rust in the shower, cracks, and hair in the sink. Not to mention, we had no hot water while showering. The chair in the hotel room was falling apart. The rack to hang wet bathing suits was falling off the wall outside of the hotel room. The walls were old and stained. It was not at all what we both expected. We were disappointed beyond measure and wanted to change rooms immediately. It was not at all what we both expected. The hotel staff mentioned that they were fully booked and couldn’t do anything for us.  The hotel staff was rude.

The hotel staff mentioned that they were fully booked and couldn’t do anything for us. When we spoke to the man at the front desk the night before we checked out, he told us that there was nothing that could have been done and to come back in the morning when Lucia the manager was there. He didn’t seem to have a care in the world about our concern. When we got to the front desk the following morning, we told Lucia that we couldn’t stay at the hotel because of all the reasons I listed in this review, and she was so aggressive, not understanding, and rude. She started to get mad at us and didn’t want to listen to why we didn’t want to stay. She didn’t try and resolve anything with us or accommodate us. She didn’t try to change our rooms either. She told us to deal with booking.com, as that is who I booked the hotel with. I had to book another hotel room for the following day, and it was very expensive. I had to spend more money, which was completely inconvenient and unacceptable.

To whomever is reading this and is considering booking this hotel, please look at the pictures and reconsider. Puglia is beautiful but try and find a better place to stay during your holiday!

Response from Guglielmo Antonio Gerardo Minervini, Direttore generale at Villa Hermosa Resort
Responded Sep 28, 2023

What an amazing night!
Unfortunately I’ve been there only for one night, an 18’s birthday party. Fantastic location, really close to Porto Cesareo, but fully immersed in the country side.
Dinner made buy a mixed buffet of fish and meat. Party continued by the pool with good music, cake and good local fruits. Looking forward to coming back and celebrate my WEDDING!!
A special thanks to all staff always smiling, friendly and available :))

This resort was my second stop in Puglia, it was maybe 100th hotel I have stayed in my life so far, but first one where I had been treated more like a family member then a guest...atmosphere is a final product of people's hard work, involvement and a heart, this all You will find in Villa Hermosa. Lifeguard Alessandro speaks good English so there's not a problem with communication or if You speak polish like myself, lovely chef Maria will help You. They do provide transport to a local beach clubs which is for free. If you need a transport to a bigger distance you can always sort something out with a good price. There's an option to pay for a lunch and dinner, each cost €22 and constrains buffer with starters, 2 courses and dessert that you choose earlier from the list. Breakfast comes like a buffet, very decent one. Swimming pool is pretty big, clean and very peaceful, second one is smaller but also really nice. Lots of palms and trees gives a good vibes. The bar located near the swimming pool does serve fantastic coffee salentino which is local proud and it's fantastic. Rooms big, good bathroom and really clean. My note 10/10

Very comfortable bed and pillows, room was kept very clean with fresh towels daily. The hotel has a daily shuttle bus service to a very crowded beach which wasn't necessary as the local beach was better but it also will take you to Porto Cesaro between 7pm and 10pm if pre-arranged. This is recommended as the hotels restaurant is awful and expensive. The pool area is lovely and never crowded. We are English but English wasn't used and communication was poor.We found out about the hotels amenities by a part time member of staff who thankfully spoke some English.

We stayed here for to nights during our honeymoon. Great room, great poolarea with a nice bar. Breakfast was also good. Only downsize of this place is the restaurant. The food was not to recomend. Better to visit Porto Cesario for dinner.

Today is our last day at villa hermosa.
We've had a wonderful time here.
It's a beautiful, peaceful, stylish place to stay.
The villa is made up of little bungalows which although a little small are very neatly kept and give a lot of privacy.
We only took bed and breakfast as we used the villa as our base and travelled to a different beach every day.
The staff were ultra friendly and helpful.
There was a garage for the car which they closed every night so we didn't have to worry about parking.
There is a swimming pool but we never went because we prefered the beaches which are spectacular. Our favourite was "bahia del sol" at torre lapillo.
Overall we had a wonderful stay at villa hermosa and would definitely recommend it!

Scusami per il ritardo nella risposta. Il Resort dispone di una spiaggia convenzionata che dista un paio di chilometri. Il mare comunque è a 800 metri circa Se non ricordo male in estate c'è un servizio navetta.
