A big shout out to the entertainment team of Punta Grossa, they are the heart of the whole resort, without them it wouldn't be the same. The resort is lovely and close to all the wonderful beaches ⛱️ and to Porto Cesareo. Our apartment was clean and spacious, we were on the ground floor and it was very pretty. The food was hit and miss, it was varied but the quality of some was very average, I had very high expectations and it did disappoint. Our children asked for scrambled eggs once but the chef refused to make them, only fried. 👎
There are shuttle buses that take you to the beach, we were assigned the "Spiaggetta" and that was a disappointment as well, it was so small that it looked crammed in August so we only spent the 1st day and then decided to go to other beaches along the same coast, Taranga, Samana', Togo to name a few. We asked for a refund which the manager kindly agreed to.
We loved our stay and I highly recommend it for families with young children, the hospitality and customer service of the people there is 🔝.

We will definitely visit Puglia again.

Ps. You definitely need a car if you want to make the most of it and visit all the different places. Ostuni, Alberobello, Lecce are all about an hour away.

Staff delightful.
Rooms very nice and cool. Modern decor. Great atmosphere for kids if they speak Italian (mine does). Food slightly less than average. Breakfast ok if you are Italian and like a sweet breakfast. Let's face it it's an Italian complex. Beach very nice. Water lovely and clear. Apart from the food, I'd say it's good VFM.

I can't find suitable words to describe how squalid the organization of this village is. Who runs scams by selling beach service packages that they don't have. I was there this month and they had the ability to ruin my only week of vacation with a unique arrogance. We were kicked out of their beach because it was illegal. What if you could call it a BEACH? the only answer that the manager and daughter of the owner gave us was that the problem wasn't theirs, to find another beach ourselves or that otherwise we would have the swimming pool available. It must be said that the swimming pool had green water after three days. However, it is not recommended. Indeed, it is a complaint

to be reported!!!! arrived at 10.30 in this pseudo village... they tell us that check in starts at 2pm, that they call them or the entertainers... and in all this you have to stop in a 1 meter x 1 meter swimming pool (it is meant to be it's small for the whole "village") with not even sunbeds for everyone... but only 10 stations so you're forced from 11 until late afternoon on the chairs!!! after the exhausting wait the makeshift entertainer calls you just to put the bracelet...there was another wait to enter the reception and then to be told that the places on the beach were sold out and that we had to take care of it ourselves (the last rows were seized by the harbor office!!!!)... the week of August in Salento where everything is sold out!!!! other news??? in the week of August there is no entertainment on the beach, but only in the pool... and when did the entertainers warn them??? on Sunday morning! !! I won't take it too long.... we called the police several times, we discussed with the pseudo manager and her assistants in an unpleasant manner and who get face to face with the customer.... ending of the story: after a day wasted, with a thousand battles we asked for a refund which was given to us and luckily for us we found a place in a village near this one what a blessing to have!!!!!!!!..... NEVER AGAIN!!!! save yourself those who have booked and have yet to arrive in this village where there is one and only word: SCAM!!!!!!

We are still guests of this terrible structure, we arrived on Sunday 13 August, we found ourselves in a crowd of people, about 50 families who at that moment learned that there was no beach service, there were moments of agitation and there were they were the poor entertainment guys who acted as a filter between the guests and the reception.
The reception staff was really grumpy and unpleasant, they had assured us that the beach service would be restored from the 4th onwards but this was not the case.
We chose the Village precisely for the convenience of the services, in particular the beach service, but that was precisely what was missing, finding on the other hand a lack of seriousness and professionalism.

what to say let's start with the management total arrogance to say that they are not very cooperative is a compliment remember that the guests in your facility are on holiday therefore serenity is required given that you pay handsomely this goes above all to the manager
Let's move on to the not so clean swimming pool, stagnated sand on all the steps but passable for lifeguards, at least a basic safety course should be taken
the restaurant pasta always overcooked starters not up to par we were hoping for better mediocre
entertainment all very young kids, their total inexperience was noticeable, it almost seemed like their first experience in a tourist village that needs to be improved a lot
the best thing is the cleanliness of the rooms is excellent, the entire structure is also impeccably clean, the greenery of the park, flower beds etc. Optimal
let's move on to the very painful point of the BEACH, if you can call it that, the ugliest and least cared for in all of Salento. If you didn't have the right luck and recommendation they would send you to this undefinable place but the worst thing was when they asked for clarifications in the direction it almost seemed came down from the clouds in practice we had to put our hands back on our wallets and pay 40 euros per day for a beach that was up to par while other families who were destined for the Lido degli Angeli had no problem. The beautiful beach was well looked after. I advise you to ask before arriving at the facility. where are you destined.................
WE WILL AVOID THE PUNTA GROSSA NEXT YEAR

I booked my holiday in January and made 2 bank transfers, one requested just 10 days before arrival. We arrive and find a crowd of people checking in. Only one person to carry out this procedure. Check-in time: 5 hours. During these 5 hours screams, threats, calls to the police: the structure no longer has a beach service (already sold and included) to offer customers. But he got us this far and didn't warn us. Incorrectness! I chose to leave. Seaside holiday, once a year, ruined! It makes me cry.

Booked by telephone by directly contacting the structure which immediately sent me the quote via email equal to 1200 euros from 9 to 16 September with full board.
Once I arrive on site, in addition to the advance payment of the stay, I am asked to pay a deposit of 150 euros.
To my question about what it was for, I was told that they would give it back to me at the end of my stay, an indication that not even the staff know what it is for or don't want to give explanations.
I find this a very bad attitude towards guests and it is definitely not a good business card.
I didn't want to point out since I had just arrived.
My wife asks about the services offered, including the beach. You are told that the equipped beach is about a kilometer away and can be reached via a shuttle provided by the facility and the cost for the umbrella and two sunbeds is 25 euros per day and can be booked directly through reception.
We book for Sunday 10th and when we arrive on site we see the price list displayed at the lifeguard and we realize that the cost is 20 euros. In the month of September from the 4th row onwards
25 euros from the first to the third row.
We are placed in the seventh row
Here too I remained silent because I didn't want to create unnecessary discussions
On the morning of the 15th we go to the shuttle to go down to the beach but the driver forbids us to get on because we were not on his list
We went to reception to express the problem and were told that we were not entitled to shuttle transport as we had not booked the beach service through them.
I got excited and reported that in the previous days I had noticed the difference in cost so that I only got the umbrella at the cost of 20 and not 25 to be placed in the 7th row.
I was told that the extra 5 euros were to pay for the shuttle they owned.
I was left speechless.
I pay 1200 euros for a structure in September and I am asked for 5 euros for the shuttle.
For information, speaking with the couple who are staying next door, I discovered that for the same period and the same conditions they paid 600 euros by booking through an agency. So I'm even more saddened by this.
Other shortcomings are the absence of a TV in the room, present in the kitchenette, the absence of ashtrays throughout the structure but above all the absence of a figure capable of directing undisciplined users a little.
The amount I paid for this period absolutely does not correspond to a good service from this structure.

I booked the holiday in the week of August with GIGANTE VIAGGI.
Check in: Incompetent people, who make fun of you so as not to tell you the truth is that they don't know how to do their job. After booking the beach after hours of travel, you wait to find someone who will meet your requests (a legitimate place on the beach) but you find a rubber wall that invites you to go away and solve a huge problem like a place on your own on the beach the week of August.
Affiliated beach: a strip of sand of about 20m surrounded by rocks, as a result you find yourself swimming all crowded together. Punta Grossa has only 42 umbrellas available so anyone intending to come here (I do not recommend it) must, at the time of booking, have the assigned number of umbrella assigned "in writing" otherwise they risk being left without one. On the day of arrival, people who paid for the service on the beach couldn't find a place and the police were called due to scuffles and arguments between guests and the management didn't care much, saying "whoever arrives first has a place! ” Conclusion, you must arrive before the shuttle (9 am) to win the umbrella.
I recommend booking first at the nearby Lido degli Angeli (served by a shuttle) and booking before going, also because the cost is €35 per day instead of €41 in the village.
The only flaw is that to return for lunch you have to wait about 20/30 minutes to take the minibus because the road to get to the factory is narrow with cars parked on both sides and long queues form to get through.
Animation: takes place exclusively on the B side". About ten kids no more than 20 years old, inexperienced, doing nothing, there is no organization for tournaments or anything else as those responsible for entertainment are absent.
On August 15th I expected an intense and engaging program! Result: two inflatables for the children, at lunch and dinner you expect special dishes different from the usual but nothing exactly the same as the previous day.
In the evening they didn't propose any particular things to involve the guests, all the villages I've been to had fireworks here at the end.
Catering: I have never seen a village with 10 trays of "starters" which are often empty due to the onslaught with only vegetables, no cured meats, cheeses, rustic cakes, no ice cream and dessert only in the evening.
Indecent first courses, second courses with pangasius fish, cod and frozen salmon. I come to a seaside place to eat local and fresh fish... I would also be satisfied with cheap mussels, but local and fresh.
Rooms: rating 8. Beautiful, new, spacious and clean, praise to the truly efficient cleaning girls.
The village has enormous potential which must first of all change the director and staff, URGENTLY solve the beach problem, invest a little more in quantity and quantity of food and in entertainment.
Swimming pool: lifeguard non-existent in the morning there is a rush to get the sunbed with towels otherwise you won't find a place.
I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy.
