Stayed for 3 nights, the standards are extremely high for a small country inn, food is superb and the service generally excellent.

45 minutes for a drink food portions small except Yorkshire pudding dry,overcooked,male staff rude.the whole experience disappointing.would not recommend to anyone being in the trade myself.second time been did not think it could get worse did!!!!
We decided to eat at the Pelican as they advertise rare breed near, well the rare breed was not rare breed, the portion size for one of our party was pathetic and when we asked too see the chief "he was too busy with service"...More
Extremely comfortable room, very efficient at reception and pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent. Only negative comment was the noise nuisance caused by kids rolling around in the bar but this seems to be fairly common these days.
