The hotel is fantastic and finished to the highest level. The staff were knowledgeable and very friendly. The grounds are fantastic and I can't wait to return in the summer. The village itself is absolutely stunning and so peaceful. What more can I say, we were impressed.

We just returned from a wonderful and memorable 1 night stay. The hotel is set in a very pretty village and has a large welcoming entrance gate. The downstairs area of the hotel has recently undergone a refurbishment and the decor has been tastefully done, modern but with keeping in of the traditional surroundings. Reception was busy and bustling upon...

We only found out about this hotel through secret escapes and I'm so glad we did! From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable and house and surroundings were beautiful. We had lunch and drinks in one of the lounge and the food was delicious. My husband enjoyed the locally brewed lager only a few hundred yards away and...

Went for afternoon tea for my wife's birthday. A very nice, civilised way to spend an afternoon. Service has always been first class here, even better here under the new private owner. Scones freshly baked, unlike some other places. Well recommended.

Beautiful hotel in a very charming village. They offered us to have our two labs sleeping in our room. Very large but cosy room with a huge bathroom. The only down note could be the choice of menu at the restaurant : a bit limited but good quality. I would recommend it without an hesitation

My daughter and I treated ourselves to a light lunch in the lounge bar. Everything was as good as the website said it would be. The service was impeccable (friendly and courteous) and our delicious food was delivered promptly. We took our time and ended up staying a couple of hours, enjoying extra drinks and the lovely ambience. Would love...

We booked a deluxe room for one night, which included a 5 course tasting menu and breakfast, for a reasonable price given how lovely the hotel is, and how amazing the food is. The room was really nice, the nespresso machine and ruark audio were great touches that made it feel really special. Lower and upper slaughter epitomise the charm...
