Stayed a couple of times at the Bull whilst visiting a customer in Royston and I have never been disappointed. OK, finding the car park in Royston’s one way system can be challenge for a new arrival and some of the rooms are on the small side but it has old world charm and a great bar and restaurant. Being...

Have thought hard about writing this but feel it needs to be said. Our visit started badly when opening the door to our room we were shocked to find two pigeons flying around in the room. The Windows had been left open despite the snow falling outside. We reported it to reception and a curt lady arrived and moved us...

The floorboards creak, the room are comfortable and well appointed, a quirky and quaint experience. The food selection was excellent, great choice of wines, both as standard and a special range well worth a try. Breakfast was full on and included. Great, interested helpful staff always pleased to help. Well worth a visit.

The telephone communication was very good, but when we arrived at the hotel the receptionist was very rude. We were told we could have an early check in and she did not believe us even though it said on the computer. She wasn't sure if the room was ready. The room had dreadful squeaky floor boards and when we took...

It's my favourite gastropub in Royston. The food is reasonably priced and served in generous portions. More importantly, it has all been really tasty! The ales have been consistently good, staff always friendly and the atmosphere has always been nice and relaxed. Look forward to visiting agains soon.

I was here for five nights on business in town and stayed in a 2BR apt. a couple of doors down from the hotel & pub. It's an easy .6 mile walk from the rail station (even in a cold Jan. shower). I only had breakfast once, because Morrison's Grocery is nearby and I had a full kitchen so ate...

We came here for lunch one weekday and again had a very enjoyable meal with friendly service. We only come every 3-4 months and are always impressed with our meal and how popular the place is. Just an observation - serving a huge burger with fries on a wooden board didn't work for us and we had to ask for...

There is always a friendly welcome in this historic coaching inn. The food is plain but you will not go away hungry - portions are generous! It is popular with family parties although the Sunday carvery is variable.

After coming here last week for a works Christmas meal, as the food was really nice I decided to return with a friend for lunch. I was not disappointed. We chose from the main menu and all three courses were delicious for both of us. The chef and his team deserve to be praised for both the quality and presentation...

Enjoyed our 2-day stay. The historic building is a delight, our room was huge, compete with a 4-poster, although the en-suite was a bit cramped, but at least had room to put out our toiletries, and had a hook on the back of the door (is it me or are these dying out?). The dinner menu offered a wide variety...
