Our family of 4 (kids age 7 and 10) really enjoyed this hotel - and staying here helped salvage a day we had planned to ski but got cancelled due to problems at the mountain - we really enjoyed relaxing in the pool, spa and game room for the afternoon. We would certainly recommend this hotel and stay here again. Pros: - family room available was a bit small but fine for a one-night stay. We appreciated having a family room option as these can be rather limited in Europe and we often have to book 2 rooms - adult spa is amazing - I was glad to have time here without any kids allowed - Children’s pool is heated and nice - kids enjoyed it - entertainment room with pool table, ping pong and foozball - breakfast buffet was extensive and includes omelets made to order - 3k from La Molina - newly implemented room service was quick, though menu is very limited Areas to improve: - the bar serving lunch is advertised as “open until 7:30pm” however the kitchen closes at 4pm after which you can no longer order food. This is misleading and the signs should be clarified. Ideally, the kitchen would remain open so that there is always an option to order food (even bocadillos) esp near a ski resort where people are hungry after a long day, or want to get kids to bed early so that we can get up and ski first thing. Alternatively the restaurant can open earlier (7pm) to accommodate the families, instead of 8pm. - for ski families, would be nice to have breakfast starting at 7am instead of 8am - remove 3€ fee for foozball - all games in the entertainment room should be complimentary (there’s no charge for pool or ping pong) - the shower glass is too small and soaks the bathroom floor when used - we ended up using our pool towels to dry the floor but there should be a better solution - it probably needs a curtain (however there is tub for kids as well as a separate shower stall, which are nice options)

I booked this hotel for myself and my two daughters for 5 days skiing. I then read some poor reviews which were in my opinion were completely out of date. We had a really nice welcome, checked in 4 hours early, found the accommodation to be modern, clean and well kept. We also found the breakfasts buffet to be very good and the evening buffet at €20 for an adult and €10 for a child excellent value with a huge variety of really well cooked food and a large salad bar. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place and my kids really enjoyed it too. La Molina is a bit sleepy and there is not a lot to do other than ski in the winter but the slopes were varied and and fairly empty when we went!

There are very few mountain hotels that have it all, like Sercotel La Collada. The view is amazing - day, sunset, night sky. The rooms are nice, cosy, spacious and well designed. The food is very good. The personnel is kind and attentive. There are books and reading places everywhere including by the fire. The Spa is excellent. The only thing to improve is that the pool for kids is no match for the Spa (basically a boring basement) and they should allow 6-14 year old kids to go to the very nice Spa say between 15.00 to 18.00 for example. Plenty of adults with kids would have a better experience. Nevertheless I totally recommend the place. Oh and it's ver close to Alabaus ski area of La Molina (5 min drive). Amazing place.

We booked one night in this hotel, just to rest from driving to our final destination...and we regretted not staying longer! The young man at the reception desk was welcoming, professional and caring. We enjoyed the quality of the room and the complementary access to the spa was fabulous. Note that you need to bring your own swim cap as it is compulsory to wear one in the spa. If you do not have one with you, the spa sells them for €3 unit. If you are looking for a design place you should think twice before booking here. Yes, the carpet in the corridors could be updated...but if you are after comfort and a friendly and traditional way of doing/experiencing things, this is a place for you. We will definitely be back!

Booked ski week through UK agency 2 months in advance. 3 days before departure, told hotel overbooked first night and we would have to stay first night in Barcelona, so we missed a day's ski-ing. No regular ski bus to resort or evening entertainment despite promises. FInally arrived a day late at 1pm but rude hotel owner/ holiday organiser refused to let us ski, would not provide coach to resort as said was not paying 50-60 € for an hour's ski-ing - depite the fact that we would have got 4 hours ski-ing in, the cost for a group would have been less than the 35€ each quoted in the leaflet, and besides all this we had already paid for the whole day's ski lifts, ski hire etc. He told me twice to sit down as if I was a naughty schoolboy when I asked about the free glass of wine we were promised with dinner to help make up for missed day at hotel (drink had not arrived in first half hour). One of reception managers also unfriendly, unhelpful and threatening. Hotel buffet comprehensive but often hot courses only warm. Serving staff good. No coffee making facilties in rooms, and long queues for two machines making only cheap-tasting sweetened coffee at breakfast. Spa had wonderful facilities but wasn't naturist as promised except at difficult hours, 9-10 am (prime ski time) and from 9.30pm at night after a big dinner. Will never stay there again.
