We stayed at La Estrella with our 3 children over the Christmas holidays . We were looking for a place which was laid-back, off the beaten track, family friendly, with snorkeling accessible from the beach so that we can practice as a family. The kids befriended the local Filino kids and Estrella grand-daugthers from the village whilst we sipped San...

We stayed 3 nights. The huts are very nice, spacious and with hot water. Super friendly staff, perfect service. For divers, Robert is a very experienced done instructor, and the dives are fantastic. It was fun to be almost the only non-German speakers!

La Estrella has god food (home made muesli for breakfast and home made bread for lunch sandwiches are both fantastic). Room 16 had a good strong fan and mosquito net (highly recommend using this). Usually has 24 hour electricity however I was there just after a typhoon and electricity from mainland was down so reliant on the La Estrella generator...

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here in early December. If you are a diver and/or you want to get away to a very quiet, remote place in the Philippines, this is the place for you. If neither is true, a place on Panglao Island would be a better bet. I wanted to experience diving in Cabilao as well as get...

We stayed at La Estrella over a weekend in late August. The resort can arrange transport from the pier at Sandigan island, or you can take the public bangka across (20 php per person) and then hire a motorcycle driver to the resort (60 php). There are only 3 resorts on this side of the island and nothing else. Due...

My friend and I stayed with Estrella at the beginning of August and had a really wonderful time here at this superbly clean and welcoming little hotel right on the beach. We had the place to ourselves, enjoyed the empty beach amongst peaceful palm trees and nature, and spent a day diving just the two of us (and then later,...

I stayed at La Estrella Beach Resort for 2 weeks in May 2014. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this lovely place. The cabins, which are scattered over a large beautiful garden with ample space between them, offer all the comfort you need for an island holiday: lovely porch with garden/sea view, large comfortable bed with a mosquito net, fan...

i was there 2 nights. Amazing place! it seems to be by a swiss lake: calm waters and silence. The hotel provide the basic services (and the price is consequently extremely low) and you must be accept it. For instance, dinner and breakfast are on demand and expressely made. So it takes time and people in rush should not go...

We stayed there for few nights in Feb 2014. There weren't many guests at the time so was very peaceful and quiet. A beautiful resort, simple and unspoiled. Well looked after landscaped gardens; white sand beach in front. They showed us different bungalos on arrival and let us to pick the one we liked. Rooms are fairly basic (this seems...

Hello Yuliana, Thank you for your review. It will help us improve our services. I am happy to inform you that since February 19, 2014 the island started having a 24-hour electricity and with this, other improvements like the hot shower you were missing here will follow. It was a pleasure having you and Paul among our valued guests and...

We only stayed here for two nights and had the place practically to ourselves. The coral was surprisingly good and the drop off is a short swim out from the resort. There were more hard corals than at Apo island but the fish life is smaller. The food at the restaurant was delicious. We thought the room we stayed in was...
