Great location, perfect for a group of friends. Oh And treehouse!! Awesome. We have visited many forest holiday locations over the years, and the Forest of Dean is one of my favs. Definitely worth it for a winter trip as the prices are so much more affordable than summer. Also the creepy beauty of the forest in the dark and...

Just back from our 2nd "forest holiday". This time 6 of us in 3 bed Golden Oak cabin 80. We booked an early check in but due to the mess apparently left by previous group they weren't ready for us at 2 as expected. We felt disappointed but the staff bent over backwards to resolve the issues- Kayleigh & her...

We love the Forest of Dean and enjoyed many camping holidays on this site before it was taken over by lodges. A shame but we have since had some lovely breaks in the lodges. 9 of us stayed in a Tree house lodge, number 49. So spacious for all of us. The rooms were all great with plenty of towels...

We booked a lodge that sleeps 6 people for a birthday weekend with some friends. The lodge was very big and spacious and comes very well equipt. There were 3 bedrooms, 1 double and 2 twins with 2 bathrooms. The beds and setees we found were very comfortable. You have everything you need in the lodge aside from towels/cleaning products...

Me and my partner have recently returned from a weeks stay at the forest of Dean, we stayed in one of the golden oak hideaway cabins. On arrival the staff were very helpful and polite. Once at our cabin we were welcomed by a lovely bottle of champagne! The cabin was perfect size for the pair of us. The hot...

We've been to 5 of the Forest Holidays locations, and this one was definitely not up to par with the others (Cornwall, both Yorkshire ones & Thetford being the others) the first problem was that when I was viewing the chargeable extras, I noticed that they wanted to charge an additional £5 per night for a travel cot (and another...

Booked here as a 40th birthday surprise for my wife & she was not disappointed. This was only our 2nd visit to a Forest holidays site, the 1st with the kids in a Copper Beech to Thorpe Forest. This time we stayed in a Golden Oak hideaway & it was pure indulgence. Underfloor heating, log burner, hot tub, loved the...

Six of us came here for my 30th and stayed in cabin 35. They are gorgeous inside. Although I did find the bath quite uncomfortable and I didn't realise they don't supply toilet roll which was a bit of a nuisance. Also the hot tub has seen better days and could have been a lot hotter. Apart from them tiny...

We have enjoyed our stay at the log cabin. I am being really picky when i say this the shower head didn't work properly, a couple of light bulbs was broken and some of the furniture/doorhandles had been broken from past users. But as a quick get away with friends i would definitely recommend coming, we are already planning to...
