Booked golden oak lodge to accommodate the family. That included 4 kids under 5 and a dog. 5 adults. The actual lodge was spacious enough but after day 1 it went down hill. No washing machine in the lodge. Your in the forest, kids get dirty and you have no place to wash the clothes. The whole place looked filthy...

Thank you for your review. We are sorry you had such a disappointing experience, it sounds as if there were a number of unrelated problems which added up to your first few days being quite stressful. We are pleased to hear that Gerry and Gary helped to ensure the remainder of your stay was enjoyable and we are grateful for...

If you are looking for a relaxing peaceful time then this is not the place for you. We stayed for a long weekend in May and we found it very noisy, groups of young people in their hot tubs shouting till 2 in the morning. We stopped in a 4 bedroom oak, which we chose because there was 8 of...

Me my girlfriend and our two dogs stayed for a weekend. We stayed in cabin 41 which was a really good location , on the corner and facing into the woodland. Not all cabins do this so have a look at map when booking. Cabin 41 was excellent for the dogs as we could head straight into the woods away...

We stayed here as a couple in May. The lodge and the surrounding location were all beautiful. We were really impressed. Our accommodation had everything we needed and more. Pizza deal is great value for money. Whilst in the area, Puzzlewood and The Sculpture Trail are both must visits in our opinion. A couple of niggles... the actual site is...

Well designed, well equipped and great location. We were a party of 8 adults and we had loads of space to mix or be on our own when we wanted. The hot tub got loads of use, even in the rain. Plenty to do all around with great walks from your doorstep. It is vulnerable to use by hen and...

Had a great weekend in a gold lodge, great accommodation in beautiful surroundings. The accommodation was immaculate, towels, robes and slippers provided. Hot tub on the decking outside was bliss, and was serviced/checked by staff each day. The cafe and shop was handy if you've forgotten anything or as a meeting place if there's a group of you. Highly recommend...

Our family stayed at the Forest Holidays in the Forest of Dean and we really enjoyed our stay. The log cabin was excellent. We had lunch one day in the café and had pizzas sent up to the cabin, both were very good too. We hired cycles and went into the forest. The staff were friendly and helpful. My only...

Went as a group of friends - 50 something ladies - for the weekend and this was a great place to stay - clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the hot tub. Beautiful location. Spacious lodge. Other reviews said the lodges were too close but we didn't think so at all. Dishwasher broke but got fixed within an hour.
