At five minutes of Calvi, while rolling southwards, you will find the Domain of Paradella. This domain spreads on more of 20 hectares of scrubs, woods and prairies, along the Figarella river. And he/it feels good live, while listening to the song of the crickets very close to yet the big basin, far from the summery tumult, so near.

The Gite was even more beautiful than the videos on their website... !!
We stayed in the Gite Jaune (with the magnificent arched windows) and we were impressed immediately. It was spotless, well appointed, beautiful, rustic and private. With loads of space for our 3 year old to explore and play. Exactly what we were looking for. Under the rustling leaves of an old eucalyptus forest.
We really appreciated so many 'little extras' at the Gite. There were some basic condiments in the kitchen... and the kitchen itself was very generously fitted -- loads of utensils, pots, pans, baking dishes... Ice cubes were already frozen in the tray -- merci for that!!! There are even several washing machines, and irons for the guests to use. Very thoughtful. Everything was like new, and we had everything we needed for our holiday!!
The bedrooms were simple, but spacious, and the beds clean and comfortable.
Jacques was a very amiable host... although he left us to enjoy our holiday, and we rarely saw him in passing. All apartments are quite private in this gite, you see enough of your neighbours to know they are there and if they have kids... but otherwise you rarely see or hear them unless you want to! All of the terraces face different directions, so unless a guest ambles by, you really have your own private space.
The gite was a bit difficult to find, as it's not well signposted from the main road (I think they were repainting the sign?), so don't hesitate to stop in the Paradella Camping and ask directions... it's only another hundred or meters down the road or so!
It was a perfect location for a family. Ideally situated to explore a lot of Corsica... more than enough to keep a family busy for holidays, without doing the same thing over and over!!
