A warm, generous atmosphere rules at these supremely comfortable apartments on an ecological cooperative, a hop from glorious Granada Tranquillity five minutes from Granada, and much character. Kind, artistic Concha and her mother make this place, and their grand old farmhouse, topped with tower and pigeon loft, is hard to resist. The approach is marvellous, the beautiful trees creating a warm, out-of-time atmosphere, and this cooperative's cornfields are ecologically run. The apartments – the nicest two in converted cattle stalls and dairy – are supremely comfortable: one a nest for two, another for six, two for four. There are wood-burning stoves, underfloor heating and charming, well-equipped kitchens with lovely hand-made tiles. Furnishings are antique, the beds a delight; ceilings are high, walls thick and cool. There's no communal space, bar the pool and the large inner patio, and a wide circular path that links the apartments, each with its own furniture

Concha's farm house was the most wonderful place to start our days and end them while touring Granada and taking road trips - so relaxing and beautiful. El Cortijo del Pino (built in 1873) is authentically rustic and we were surprised to find the 2-story apartment so new & stylish with big windows, modern kitchen and a huge bathroom. Breakfast and dinner on the private patio/terrace was very relaxing with the only noises being farm animals and birds. The pool is big and clean and we really enjoyed swimming. We could not believe our luck in being able to stay here. One thing to note - the stairs are steep to get to the apartment and between floors in it. It was no problem to us but some might have a hard time of it. (I noticed Concha does have other rooms without stairs. ) Also the first time you drive there it is a little confusing because the road is dirt and veers off to the right like a driveway off the main road. We highly recommend Concha's place!

We stayed at del pino for a couple of days at the beginning of our trip around Andalucía. It is a few kilometers outside of Granada, it has a nice pool and lovely setting with very friendly family hosts.

My family stayed here for a week in Sept and we had a fabulous time. The farm house is Great, and each apartment is very well equipped. We relaxed by the pool, and had day trips out around the area, it was perfectly located. Concha was a fantastic hostess, very kind and helpful. Would highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere quiet a short way out of the city.

El Cortijo del Pino is another magical place where you can emerge into a different world, full of atmosphere and character. The lovingly decorated Casa de la Cuadra with its beautiful terracotta tiles provides everything you need to simplify and just enjoy your life, everything is well kept and clean. The windows with wooden shutters and the 50 cm thick walls of the former stable are a perfect shelter from the heat. The cool air coming from the mountains at night provides good sleep in comfortable beds and a fresh start into the day. The pool was great to start the day with and to refresh after a day in the merciless heat of this year’s summer. Granada is within easy reach of 10 minutes by car. There’s not much more to say than „Muchas gracias, Concha, por tu amabilidad, tu generosidad y por tu fuerza de establecer un llagar como el Cortijo del Pino!“

Had a great 4 nights here in the Cortijo del Pino. The accommodation is excellent, and comfortable, and Concha is a marvellous host, speaking good English, but if you want an on the hoof Spanish lesson, she will happily speak Spanish to you. We had the upstairs accommodation and the roof terrace here is a wonderful place to watch the sunset from. Well worth a trip here, and easy access to Granada.
