Wonderful cabana style rooms with air-con and stunning open-air en-suite bathrooms in a beautiful setting. The staff are lovely and the food (including the free breakfast) is cheap and tasty! There's a free shuttle at set times to the Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre, which is 10-15 minutes away.

Absolutely superb place to stay. Set a couple of kilometres inside the jungle you are surrounded by dense green forest so views are fantastic. Beds in the dorm were comfortable and the restaurant/common area was calm and relaxing. Food and drinks were good value, tasty and healthy. Staff also go out or their way to help. All round, 10 out...

Oh, where to start? Location? In the middle of nowhere. Amenities? None. Wi-fi? You're kidding. Accessibility? Er, no. Beautifully appointed rooms? You're joking, right? ............. and yet.......... what a wonderful retreat. in some ways the sign in the room says it all (working from memory): Please don't bring food into the room. If you bring food, you'll attract insects. if...

It is worth coming here for the view alone; a gorgeous, peaceful spot tucked away in the forest. Rooms were clean and basic, perfect for a one night stay. Staff were helpful and friendly and arranged an airport shuttle for us at short notice. The free shuttle to Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary is a big bonus too. Food was pretty standard...

Cosy place with nice staff. We stayed only one night and arrived late. It is a bit hard to find in the night but well worth it. The rooms are very basic and have not air con. The friendly staff, fantastic surroundings, great kitchen and affordable rate makes up very well for that!

Very nice place! This place is exactly as described. In the middle of the Jungle. Great friendly staff. Marvellous views. The food is good. We booked 4 days but had to go after 2, the owner helped us out (reason was we were shirt of time for the rest of the trip). If you are looking for a real jungle-adventure...

This place was one of the first places we stayed after climbing Mt Kinabalu. It is located in the beautiful rain forest so its nice and quiet. The food is good, hot showers, hammocks, beer, everything you could need! The long house we stayed in had 12 beds but because of the time we went it was only me and...

My partner and I stayed in one of the cabins at Paganakan for 2 nights recently primarily to visit Sepilok. We had an amazing stay. Staff were really helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast and dinner excellent. Barracuda to die for! Cabins excellent with air con and mosquito nets. Shuttle service to sepilok orangutans, sun bears and rainforest center takes 5 mins...

My husband and I recently stayed at Paganakan Dii for 2 nights en route from KK to the Kinabatangan. The location is a five minute drive from the Orangutan sanctuary (free shuttle provided), but the location is secluded and peaceful with amazing sunrise and sunset views. The rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious. The staff was even greater, accommodating our...
