We review heli-skiing operators and locations for a 'living.' We have been to Crescent Spur multiple times, and it is one of our favorites for a few reasons. Excellent terrain, atmosphere, lodge, staff, snow and overall experience. Relatively easy and reasonably priced travel. A very good value, too. Just two groups of ten in one helicopter, so it's economical without...

My husband and I just experienced one of the best skiing and vacation experiences of our life. There are many heli skiing organizations but Crescent Spur is top notch and takes care of its guests like they are part of a family. The skiing, the terrain, the guides, the helicopter pilot and the entire staff, including a fantastically creative chef,...

Just got back from my 39th week at Crescent Spur! Yes 39 weeks of great days in the mountains. Every week is different! It never gets old. I can't wait for next year! Or maybe I will try to slip in another week in April. I have been there 4 times in April with face shots and glacier skiing. April...

Typical Canadian Heli ski - the snow was great but the terrain was so-so. Seemed like we skied a lot of flat/ low angle terrain. Nice lodge and good guides. Nothing too special. Going back to Alaska next time! Things seemed ton"average" for my expectations...

Seriously folks, as important as research often is when booking a trip, I urge you to stop, take the plunge and book up with Crescent Spur. You will not be disappointed! You're still reading? OK then... you really shouldn't be and needn't worry, but if you insist I shall continue. Crescent Spur is owned and ran by married couple Mark...

This was my 11th heli trip. Second to Crescent Spur. It is like going and staying at a private resort. The owners Mark and Reg treat you like good friends and do whatever to make your adventure as perfect as possible . The lodge is top notch with all the amenities and more of their top competitors. Their lodge experience...

Am leaving on Friday for my 7th trip to Crescent Spur. It is absolutely my favourite place in British Columbia and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Owned and run by Mark and Regina Aubrey with a very loyal staff, you are made to feel completely at home and one of the family. Extremely comfortable rooms and delicious food catering...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the world of heli-skiing, the northern Cariboo Mountains and the Canadian Rockies are legendary. An abundance of dry powder, immense open bowls, spectacular glacier skiing and gladed trees await our guests. Crescent Spur fills a unique niche in the heli-skiing market by limiting guests to a maximum of 20 guests per week. That leaves over 250 runs, in 1,500 square miles of terrain, for a maximum of 20 skiers! ... more   less
