Modern hotel right on the ancient historic town square with an excellent restaurant/bar. Short trip to the WW2 memorial & cemetery where a large military hospital that is no longer standing where many common medical practices like blood transfusion was first used.

After stopping by at Confiserie Nathalie to stock up on Leonidas chocolates, we always come here to relax with a Sint Bernardus Tripel or two at the end of a long day's drive to Belgium from Wolverhampton. Good views over the square, and a convivial ambience.

I booked this on line and did not realise at the time that the house they had for rent when not rented out as a whole was used as an overspill guest house and that I had actually booked us into there not the hotel. It did say guest room on the booking confirmation but did not make clear that...

My wife and I returned to the Hotel de la Paix after having stayed there in 2015. As previously, we were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room, the food from the restaurant and the choice of beers and wines. We find the hotel to be a perfect place to break our journeys to and from central europe and...

We stayed in the family room. It was a very big room with 2 separate rooms and a great balcony. Rooms were very clean. Staff friendly as well. We also ate at the restaurant both nights which was very convenient after a long day of sight seeing. Food was great! Would definitely stay here again.

We've been using this hotel for a number of years and up until now we were always very pleased with the accommodation, the bar and the restaurant. The main complaint we had was that the a la carte menu remained the same even the specials didn't seem to change. However the room and the service along with the beer selection...

Hello, thank you for your input. We have been experiencing some discomfort with staff. The waiter you've been mentioning is after to many errors and being rude against customers already fired. We hope with your next visit to welcome you again in our restaurant.

Super situation in Poperinge's Grote Markt. Unfortunately the bar and restaurant are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday so the place was pretty quiet but there were other options nearby to eat and drink.. We had a problem with our car which meant we had to leave it unlocked - not a good idea in the middle of town all night...

We were exploring the battlefields and cemeteries and chose this place for a night. This is a family owned and run hotel and it is very good. Our rooms were so nice and had patio/balconies, however, the weather was a little on the windy and chilly side. We were unable to enjoy the food but hear it is incredible. We...

The hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of this lovely town (in the Market Square) and for exploring the battlefields and cemeteries of the Great War. Our room was tastefully decorated: tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice, but didn't detract from the overall experience. The staff are helpful and friendly and the food in the hotel restaurant delicious....
