We really enjoyed this hotel location and atmosphere. Very friendly and welcoming stuff, our room was very clean and had a super cute side lake view. About the location: very close to local restaurants, ferry and boat rent agency, great promenade, bus stops, gelato caffe, local attractions.
We late booked the hotel. We were looking for another hotel and this was a last minute reservation. We were pleasantly surprised. They got us a room with a balcony. Lunch and dinner were great. The front desk found us walking trails. It’s a nice hotel.
We sadly stayed when some of the worst rain storms hit the region, nevertheless our stay was made worthwhile by the amazing hospitality of all the staff at the hotel. Beyond this the rooms very spotless, well furnished and the restaurant both excellent food and amazingly well priced. Wish we could have made use of the great pool area. Would return in a heartbeat. Thank you.
Albergo Lenno is one of the few places we keep coming back to. We first discovered its restaurant which is extremely good value, punching well above its weight and which has, without a shadow of a doubt, the loveliest terrace in Lenno. We've always dined à la carte so I can't speak for the half board menu, but I imagine it's good too. We've now stayed at the hotel twice too: first in a lovely double bedroom with a balcony and the kind of lakeview that will stay engraved in your memory until the end of your days and more recently in an extremely well-appointed family apartment with two double bedrooms and a living room, a lovely view of the pool and the lake. This hotel has a great personal touch and its perfect imperfections make it all the more endearing. I agree with those who write the breakfast is not great, but that leaves some room for improvement. The restaurant is fantastic, but whenever a dish doesn't score at least 9 out of 10, the owner pulls up a chair to sit down and discuss why it didn't. And when you chose the 'wrong' bottle of wine, the owner will recommend a better one, in my experience, always cheaper. So this is not a place pushing for an easy sell. One small gripe: the place is coveted by German tourists who have the unpleasant habit of 'reserving' sunbeds early in the morning and then disappearing for the day + stealing other people's parking places, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter as you didn't come to Lake Como to lie by the pool and it's amusing to have a giggle with owner about it. He's very aware of the 'problem', but I guess the rest of us take it in our stride and leave our friends from Germany to their national sport. Laura at the reception is lovely, catered to our every need and the restaurant staff are very pleasant too. Absolutely love this place. …
Despite arriving quite late they made space for me to have a light lunch. The view was incredible, food tasty and service super friendly. I had light lunch foccacia and it was plentiful with a non alcoholic cocktail.
