Stayed one night after work party. Cost £37 for a single room. It was warm, had a decent shower, a fairly comfy (though very soft) bed and the TV worked. Bit scruffy round edges, but towels and bed were clean.

We were a party of 9 at 6pm on a Friday. It is a very nice pub that does meals, atmosphere was friendly. Separate room for the restaurant. It was a nice menu with good choices. I was particularly pleased about the smaller portion menu which I ordered from. The only downside was the wait for our meal. Wether it...

Stayed for one night as i was attending a wedding. Hotel was polite enough to inform me that one of the twin rooms i had booked had plumbing problems and gave us two singles instead at no extra cost prior to our arrival which was very courteous of them. Rooms could do with some modernisation. Mattresses were old and lost...

Only guest that night. Given room at top at front. Noisy until after midnight with people and traffic outside. Room hot but had to keep window closed. Too light to sleep until hotel outside light switched off after midnight. Good evening meal in pleasant dining area of hotel bar. Poor breakfast in scruffy reception area - worst of the week...

This Hotel has a great selection of real ales and and the quality of the food is of a high standard, unfortunately I haven't had the pleasure in staying there as I live in the town but the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Great atmosphere and very homely, high recommend this hotel.

This was the second time that we were passing Howden and decided to eat at the Wellington hotel, as before the food was excellent and reasonably priced for what we had. The staff were very friendly and welcoming as they had been on our earlier visit there last year. We only used the restaurant/ bar service.
