Dirty, old and useless. TV didn't work and no hair drier. Even charged twice for the pleasure and when I called to tell them I was charged twice they pretended that they were taken over by another family. Rubbish and would never stay again.

We booked this hotel for location, price and also because of the good trip advisor reviews. Nice reception and welcome. We had a family room (double bed and single bed) for myself, hubby and 4 year old son. The room was very small but clean. We found the room cold but pulled the bed away from the radiator and tucked...

I have stayed at the Boreland Lodge Hotel and have never been disappointed. Most of the rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. The decor is average ,if not a bit outdated but acceptable. That said, the hotel restaurant is good and the staff very helpful and friendly

Very politely greeted upon arrival by young man. Very willing to help me sort a taxi out for next day. Had a single room which was quite small but very clean. Thought tv didn't work but it was socket. Provided me with a hair dryer when asked. All in all very helpful staff. Building bit tatty around edges but you...

Upon our arrival, I asked the person at the desk for brochures about Edinburgh, I was told they didn't have any. Our room was in the basement, too small for two adults to even sleep there without being claustrophobic. The shower stall not only leaked, but was not large enough to accomodate my husband, who is over 6 feet tall....

I have stayed here several times and every time have seen improvements, the price is still fair, a nice quiet location, a few minutes walk to town and great connections to Edinburgh city and the airport. Great staff, the cooked breakfast is better than a lot of 4 star hotels. It has a cosy bar and I slept in a...
