I was a guest at Englands Guest House for approximately 20 months and I was made to feel very welcome from day one. The rooms are very clean and tidy and the prices are very reasonable too. If I ever went back to Yate this would be the only place I would want to stay! Its just a shame that... More

Lovely little find in Yate. Jan and Roy are very friendly and welcoming and the 'house' is beautiful, with a neat and cozy landscaped English garden in the back alongside the graveled parking area. We drove through after work on a Friday evening (from Kent) and they were kind enough to wait up for us. Even going so far as... More

My younger daughter and I stayed here in early March. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and we were at the back and side of the property so the noise from what can be a busy road wasn't noticeable. The breakfasts were substantial and the coffee good by UK standards. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. Will... More

Dear Chris, Thank you so very much for your kind review and for taking the time to write it. It does mean a lot to us. We would like to extend this to all our previous reviewers now that we know how to do it. Just one point regarding second set of stairs. They only lead to an attic room... More

Clean, well located, helpful owners & a pleasure to stay. If I need to stay here in Yate again I will certainly be coming back here to stay. Owners went the extra mile & made me feel welcome. Lovely back garden & walks across the fields. Highly recommend.

Just arrived back from a long weekend in Yate. Jan and Roy were friendly and happy to give advice about the local area. The room was very nice, clean, bright and had plenty enough space despite it being their smallest single. It was rathr inexpensive as well at £28 a night. Two bathrooms available on the floor, both well maintained.... More

Where do I start? We had such an amazing experience staying here! We stayed for 4 nights and had 2 very comfortable rooms. During our booking process we made Jan and Roy aware of our food allergies and they went out of their way to make sure that we had something to eat. Not only that they introduced us to... More

Travelled to Yate, near Bristol, to catch up with friends for a weekend and was recommended Englands Guest House as a good place to stay. Very impressed with the establishment - very neat and tidy, well-maintained both inside and out, easily accessible off the A432 Station Road, with off-road parking included in the accommodation fee. The owners, Roy and Jan,... More
