It was the cheapest option in the area so I now know why. Very poor quality. The rooms are hot, smelly and uncomfortable. The hotel building itself is quite depressing. I am not coming back. The staff is nice and friendly. So only choose it if you don't want to pay a bit more for better quality.

Usually stay at Premier Inn when in the area on business. As this was fully booked, found the Wellington on booking.com and was pleased to have done so. Appears that primary use of the facility is for functions, however the accommodation was very good, spotlessly clean and a really good freshly cooked to order breakfast. Nice location with ample parking...

Just returned from Wellington Park. An ideal hotel for a business traveller as very quiet, comfortable and excellent wifi and parking. Delicious high quality home cooked breakfast too. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The hotel is only a few moments walk from couple of good pubs (Eagle and Child and Withy Arms) and restaurants. Perfect too for M6.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, we were welcomed by the staff and Manager who made us feel more than welcome. The laid back atmosphere made us feel instantly at ease after a long drive. Our room was pleasant, a bit dated but clean and spacious. Not the ritz but exactly what we wanted. We ate in the...

Stayed here overnight due a business meeting next day. Room was excellent, well appointed with tea & coffee, etc. Ate in the restaurant, food and service were great. Breakfast following day was also excellent. Staff all round were friendly and very helpful. Close to town centre, so ideal for our meeting, could have walked there! Would recommend!

Christmas Dinner at Wellington Park. After ringing around numerous places for Christmas dinner info and getting ridiculous prices, my family and I decided we would try Wellington Park with its very reasonable £45pp. We were all quite sceptical about what it would be like as none of us had ever eaten out on Christmas day before, but it's safe to...

Went to a Christmas Winter Wonderland party and stayed in the hotel. The hotel is small, mainly a conference centre with a few hotel rooms. The Christmas party was good, with a great DJ that really made the night fun, the food was nice and the staff were efficient and friendly. On arrival at the hotel reception I was greeted...

Last time I was at Leyland, Wellington Park is in fact Leyland Masonic Hall where in fact Provincial Grand Lodge of West Lancashire has moved to. It was early in December & being a member of Sovereigns Unity Conclave of the Red Cross of Constantine, I was in attendance & took a small part in the ritual. The Beer even...

Where do I start? No heating in rooms when we arrived, jacuzzi bath not working, TV signal rubbish, no hot water when I wanted a shower, thumping music until the small hours from a function downstairs ... The bed was very hard, duvet rather flat, and only two pillows available. The food in the restaurant was fine, although it felt...
