Breakfast was amazing and lots of variety the bar was overpriced however but didn't mind paying the prices, also free WiFi, not a great deal to do in leyland but...

I spent 5 nights here on a business trip. The hotel itself is a little over the top in terms of decoration. However some people clearly like the gold and statues. Warning there is no lift here and there are about 12 steps to the 1st floor. My room (325) was very basic and did not smell very clean when...

Stayed for 2 nights, quite a large building plenty of parking easy to find just off the M6. Helpful and friendly staff. Large bar area plus a small area for sitting outside. Restaurant, for breakfast, was also spacious. Evening food was pretty good, prices Ok and breakfast included a wide range of hot and cold options. Overall food quality was...

Had booked a Leisuretime coach trip to Liverpool for 28 of us only to be told at the last minute we would be staying in the local area (40 miles away) ?? and could do nothing about it! Group of us stayed for weekend. Nice Hotel. Food very good. Staff first rate. Would stay again. Bar prices expensive at £5...

Service to artificial; - Serving wine by checking the amount at the Bar with a measuring cup is ridicolous; sepcially if the price is two times "normal" - They don't care if you pay to much; even discount should be given because of the company visit

Clean and well kept bedrooms. Great staff and super breakfast. The hotel did everything possible to look after our group. Just off the motorway and nice pool. Pet friendly. Large function rooms available with music facilities and plenty of space.

You could be forgiven for worrying about the decor of the place but, to be fair, they have continued to invest and, although it's looking a bit dated, the fabric of the building is in pretty good shape. What made this a very good place to stay was the quality of the staff. The receptionists, the bar staff, the breakfast...

Excellent service, very friendly staff, clean, well maintained, large beds with the best pillows I have come across in an hotel. The only thing that lets them down is the range of food. Probably not bad for vegetarians, not at all good for vegans. Dinner has virtually nothing, breakfast is better (mushrooms, beans, tomatoes). But veggie sausages (very cheap variety)...
