We got married in Dalhousie Castle in 2010 so this was our first time back since then. I bought an Itison voucher for my husband for his Christmas as I have always wanted to go back but sadly it's normally too expensive. The voucher included bed, breakfast, a two course evening meal in the Orangery, a bottle of wine and...

Just returned from an overnight stay at Dalhousie Castle hotel. Cannot praise the hotel highly enough. From the minute we checked in until we checked out, everything was first class. We stayed in room 2 with a lovely view over the grounds towards the Falconry area. The room was spotless, with tea & coffee plus shortbread provided, There was also...

We attended a wedding at Dalhousie on 7th March and this included an overnight stay. The wedding was conducted in their in-house chapel and although a little cramped it was conducted in a very friendly ambience, the highlight being the entry of the bridal couples' rings via a Barn Owl and this seems to be the norm, unless anyone has...

We booked a deal through Itison (dinner, bed, breakfast and a bottle of wine) and upgraded to a four poster room in advance of our stay. Our deal included dinner in the Orangery (conservatory) restaurant, but after a quick exploration of the building on arrival we decided to upgrade to the atmospheric Dungeon restaurant, which the staff were happy to...

Throughly enjoyed our stay, food was excellent and room was perfect but service was average, hearing barman Kyle curse on numerous occasions was rather unprofessional. But a fantastic place to stay and would most definitely visit again, thank you to all staff.

We stayed at Dalhousie Castle on 1 March on a DBB deal from Itison. The hotel has enormous potential but unfortunately didn't live up to expectations and we felt that it was not good value even on a deal, so thank heavens we didn't pay the rack rate. The story of our stay: Arrived late afternoon. Told that "something" in...

We have just returned from an overnight break, a dinner, bed and breakfast deal with complementary bottle of wine and use of spa facilities. We loved Dalhousie Castle and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was well furnished, very clean, crisp white cotton bedding and a very comfortable bed. We had amazing food throughout our stay, steak with pepper sauce,...

All the staff were friendly and efficient. We have already booked to go back in July so we...

Dalhousie is a castle but broadly a later mansion which overlies the ancient portion which accommodates the dining room and lower bedrooms. A meal in the vaulted candlelit basement was novel and the food and service satisfactory. A bit 'chilly' on a snowy January day, as the fire was not lit n the library where one would chose to sit...

Spa is massively over sold. I small jacuzzi pool, steam room and a shower! Sauna not working. 2 sun loungers in a room and they are covered in sweat stains and grubby! Changing rooms poor - shower door fell off and in on partner. Robes are for someone size 8/10 and you have to search for them and the towels!...
