Booked a LUXURY double room at £89.10 (quite steep for only a B&B even on new years eve) Pictures on various websites looked great. Now forget everything you see on the websites and look at our pictures taken this morning. We were placed in a sub-standard room. The uneven outdoor stairs were somewhat of a health and safety issue. so...

We booked a two night stay through Groupon, for an early Christmas celebration +getaway. Our room was the Toolshed - no windows, toilet moving when you sit, bed was the worst I've slept on! I already have back problems and this one gave me horrible back pain for the next two days! Sink is tiny and we had to fill...

We have just returned from a two night stay at the old Mill and we would certainly return if we came back to the area. We travelled as two couples and both our rooms were clean and warm with an excellent shower. Breakfast was great and the hosts extremely friendly. All in all we really enjoyed our stay (Yarm is...

Stayed in the room with private hot tub. The room was dirty, the bathrobes old, worn through and stained. The wash basin was broken and a picture was put over a hole that had been punched through apparently by previous occupants while the place had been left in charge of her father. The breakfast was over cooked and for the...

We were given a group on voucher for this place for a wedding present and as it was a long way to travel, decided to add an extra night (£65 room only) I had e mailed and specifically asked for a quiet room...I also requested this on checking in. The room we were given was next to the owner's private...

Dont waste your time and money, go anywhere else this place is so poor I could not give it a minus score if I could I would. Bed broken shower broken pictures covered in paint whole place is a joke and the flood light on all night shining in your room, bad all round.... Avoid

.Perhaps it was the ravages of the season, but everything seemed a bit dilapidated and the welcome, though friendly enough, was a bit casual. We were in one of the quaintly-named outhouses, opposite the well-used hot-tub. They are quite well designed but there was no way of allowing fresh air into the room apart from leaving the door open -...

Visited en route to Beamish with my mum and 5 year old. Stayed in the family room which was more like an apartment and had a balcony space on. Very comfortable and tv in both bedrooms. Bathroom good standard. Breakfast the next day made to order and was delicious. The place has a real homely feel to it. We ate...
