Family of 5, booked 2 rooms for 1 night costing £85. Few initial problems getting in which was sorted via phone call quickly. No cleanliness, in fact, Absolutely disgusting!!!Initial smell when entering property burns the nose hairs when u breathe! Either cat urine, moth ridden property orjust severely old furnishings n carpets that need to be ripped out! Dirt on all windows, sills, wood, floors etc, and darent sit on anything, the water supplied for a coffee was sat in jugs that had a dirty film on the plastic which looked like they hadn't been washed for months! The family room didn't have a lamp that worked, difficult for my 5 yr old to sleep without a lamp, oh and again the lamps were disgusting with something very suspicious hanging on the inside of the lamp! 🤮. The beds sheets felt damp, front room was v cold and that smell burnt your nose all through the night! Was relieved all woke up and hadnt suffered from allergies from what ever was causing the smell! Beds uncomfortable and didn't dare look at what we were sleeping on! Bathroom!!! Well!! Foul!! At 1.30 am I removed 2 small pieces of poo of the floor (cat size) from next to the sink and in front of the toilet! Was so dirty I didn't let anyone wash, just brushed teeth and came home to all shower. If you value you health, don't stay here!!!…
Very basic similar to student accomadation. Not much room in bed for 2 one side next to wall and a thin gangway on other side. Shared bathroom. 1 towel for 2 people. Bedding clean but unironed with no balance on bottom of bed.
I stayed over last night for the annual bike ride in the town centre. The b&b was quiet, the landlard was pleasant and there was self service coffee and tea downstairs. If you’re after luxury then this is NOT the place for you, but if you need a cosy room for the night defo get booked in!
The room was very basic, it was advertised as having a seating area however that was one single chair. The communal living room however was pleasant enough. The accommodation is quite dated however seemed clean. WiFi did not work which was disappointing. The parking is also very tricky as it is a very narrow car so communication between guests is required if you’re all to get on it. More expensive than a hostel and whilst I had a private room, there are generally more facilities available in a hostel.
I would not recommend this accomodation to anyone. It is advertised as bed and breakfast but there was no breakfast. The room was tiny and The whole place needed a good clean. The wifi didn’t work and the parking was a tiny alley for one car. Was not happy at all.
