My daughter and I stayed here on October. We were kindly offered a free room upgrade which was super. The manager was very communicative and provided us with a large jug of fresh milk rather than those tiny cartons, as we were staying for several days. Worth noting that the hotel and cafe are also dog friendly. There is a lovely children’s play area opposite which would occupy young children. The cafe is open from 08:00 for breakfast until about 5pm, serving a lovely afternoon tea and takeaway coffee. The carvery on Sunday in the Retriever bar was very substantial and they even made a plate up for us to take to our room as daughter was tired! Plenty of car parking and only 5 mins from Guisborough. Will definitely stay again.
A twin room with en suite accomodation. We had a fridge, a kettle and tea and coffee and the usual little pots of milk. TV and remote control. The shower was a bit weak and it took ages for hot water to come through. Attached to the hotel is a restaurant which is separate to the hotel.
We stayed here a couple of nights and found it a little dated but very comfortable and good value. The only complaint was that not only was there no lock on the bathroom door, there was no handle either so the door would not even close properly! The pub and the cafe both served excellent food and were good value. They closed early enough not to be a noise nuisance. It was dog friendly and there were good walks locally.
2nd time I've stayed here brought some friends and their dog rooms were lovely and clean all covid 19 clean and staff helpful even adjoining pub helped give me some milk late at night as had to many teas lovely place
