We stayed here in early July and aside from echoing what others have said about some of the rather haughty staff, this was a wonderful stay. We stayed in the older part of the property which was beautiful and full of character. Cleanliness could have been better in the room - an old biscuit wrapper and lots of dust on...

Dear Tom H Thank you for your review & comments, glad you enjoyed your stay but sorry to hear that you feel some of the staff were haughty and that the room wasn't as clean as expected, we value your feedback. The terrace is open all summer and we do serve breakfast out there so I am also baffled as...

The Old Swan and Minster Mill is a real treat for anyone looking for good old fashioned English authenticity. It has a brilliant position, tucked away from main roads and right next to a river and is a haven for walkers and cyclists visiting the area. The hotel and bedrooms are all tastefully decorated - contemporary but without losing that...

We have visited this hotel with our dog several times, on our last visit she was so excited to be there that she actually cried until we took her out for a walk and a swim - I think that says everything! This is a really great hotel to visit with dogs, nothing is too much trouble. Dogs are welcome...

Greeted by an excellent and well trained maître d. Made to feel at ease and welcome as soon as we entered the establishment. When seated we decided to have a bite to eat. All good on the food and service level. Will definitely be returning soon.

Stayed at the property during airshow. Exactly what you envision thinking of hotel in the British countryside. Old property refreshed nicely. Good pub and retardant with a garden seating area. A proper English breakfast each morning starts the day off right.

The setting and location of this hotel are perfect. The village is idyllic - a perfect English country village. The grounds are very impressive and the river running through it is beautiful. We loved the pub and thought the food they serve there is fantastic. Having the meal included in our package and no restrictions on the menu is unusual...

We came here for our honeymoon and stayed in the "Early" room with it's magnificent high beamed ceiling and 17th century look. The one thing that stood out about the Old Swan was the genuinely friendly and helpful staff who made us feel so welcome and looked after. From the young lady at reception to the lovely Sandra in the...

We have visited for lunch previously so had a feel for what to expect. On this occasion we arrived on the Friday evening in time for dinner. The room was very comfortable in the old pub and very peaceful. We had booked for dinner which seemed a good idea as the restaurant was quite busy. Dinner was pleasant and the...

Visited with a group of friends for our annual weekend away. This was one of the best hotels that we have visited, also the most expensive!
