I'm sorry that you had this experience. In my opinion bars are never a great place to watch TV. It's very difficult to get a channel choice to suit absolutely everyone. As for the Landlord I think you will find he was with his girlfriend that night.

My friend and I had a lovely meal in here the other night. Freshly cooked and very tasty. The service was friendly and efficient. Traditional highland pub with a nice ambience. Good value for money and I would recommend a visit if you were passing

This establishment is in urgent need of refurbishment. This is not Highland rustic; it is drab and barely functional. No central heating, no shower (when was the last time you had to use a rubber hose attached to the taps to rinse your hair?!) and awful décor. The beds were new. The food was excellent and good value but this...

I'm really sorry that you had this experience of the Hotel. When the current owner took over he closed the rooms that year as they were in very poor condition, and they have all be been refurbished to a 2-3 star level and priced accordingly, I think the one you refer to is £29pngt. We now have 7 of the...

We stopped here for lunch. The place was very cold, but we could sit by the fire to warm up. There was a darts board, playing darts further helped warm up a bit. Lunch was next door, cold! We had an all day breakfast, which was decent. Staff was friendly.

Thanks for the fair review. I'm sorry you were cold - December is a chilly month! Next time just tell the waitress you want to eat by the fire :)

Stopped off here for lunch. A rather strange place, very old thick walls, open fire in lounge bar. Somewhat quirky place. Service was friendly. I found the menu rather tired and ordinary all the usual stuff burgers, pasta etc rather safe catch all stuff. With one exception the langoustines. Looking for something a bit different we chose these. After a...

I can see your experience of the Hotel was some time ago, but I wanted to assure you that these days it is cleaned around 4hrs in advance of guests coming in. All areas are cleaned daily. We do keep the menu to pub grub/comfort food, but it is all made fresh to order - hand cut chips, hand pressed...

Well we returned to the Bridge and received a warm welcome especially in the public bar where the friendly locals drink. We also ate there and the meal was very nicely cooked and well presented. We will be back again.

I come up here quite often and I often read critical reviews about accommodation. If people pay £250 a night then they can expect high standards all round but a lot whine when they expect 5 star facilities and won't pay for it. This place is fine, locals are friendly, fires in the bars and the foods ok too. So...

Thank you for this very sensible and fair review. It is nice to know that some people get what we are and that we are not trying to be anything else or overcharging. We'd love to see you back again.

Really enjoyable week. The bar areas were both cosy and warm with open fires regularly stocked up by the staff. Comfy sofas with internet access, a great selection of drinks (cheaper than many other Hotels and Pubs) and the locals were very friendly and welcoming, a great place to spend the evenings. A good choice was offered for breakfast and...
