Had to stop for Snow on the ride North on the NC500 and made it as far as Helmsdale. Lovely place and the Couple running the Kindale were very accommodating at very short notice. Lovely big room where I managed to dry all my damp gear and grab a good night's sleep before heading off in the morning after a...

Just come back after spending ten days salmon fishing in Helmsdale and staying in Kindale Guest House. It is the perfect location if your fishing or just passing through Helmsdale. The owners are welcoming and the choice/quality of breakfast (and dinner if you decide to eat in) is superb. Accommodation is very comfortable and its central location in Helmsdale is...

Many thanks for your excellent review. We enjoy the river opening week and love catching up with all your news and fishermen tales. It's always a pleasure to have you as our guests and this makes for a really enjoyable week for us. Thanks again ☺

I, together with my salmon crazy brother, travel to Helmsdale every year for the opening of the River Helmsdale. Over the years we have stayed at various places in Helmsdale. However, none (and I mean none!) have come within a smidgen of what Kindale has to offer! Be that the warm welcome you receive on arrival, the amazing "nothing is...

Once again I had a delightful dinner and company in kindale. I was a dinner guest invited by friends who use this establishment now for many years. This is a most impressive B&B which also caters for evening meals too which is a great thing as we are not spoilt for choice in Helmsdale village. Tommy who does the cooking...

I spent an overnight in this B&B and had a great stay. My room was spacious, clean and the bed comfy, I slept great. The hosts were friendly, the breakfast excellent, and it was excellent value for money. Helmsdale is a beautiful place and an excellent base, I will definitely find a reason to visit here again.

I was not planning to stay in Helmsdale but did a pit stop when I realized my itinerary for my second day on the North Coast 500 was too ambitious. I am so glad I found Kindale House. It felt like a second home, and Sharon was just wonderful. The nice restaurants are just round the corner, less than half...

We were struggling to find a place and finally when we got to Kindale House in Helmsdale. The husband was kind enough to let us stay with them. The wifi was switched off at mid night, which was not ideal but considering we were knackered and had a long day ahead of us next day, it didnt matter much.

We were on our way from Lands End to John O'Groats, this was our last stop before JOG. We were on a charity fund raising trip, my husband on a Honda C90 (small old motorbike) and I was following in our car. We were made most welcome by Sharon and shown to a huge first room room with big bathroom...

What a super place. The owners had just arrived home from holiday about 10 minutes before we arrived. Despite this, we were made to feel so welcome. We stayed for two nights as our husbands were on their final two days of LEJOG. It was in a perfect location with easy access to everywhere we needed. The rooms are clean...

We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Orkney. The owners are a lovely couple and made us feel very welcome. The room was very clean, spacious, comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was a delight. Would certainly return.
