We stayed for 3 nights, the hotel has a very friendly feel about it and is very warm place . The breakfast was very well cooked and was hot, Mark is a great host nothing was to much trouble, we did not eat in the restaurant in the evening as we meet up with friends but a lot of guests...

My partner and I stayed here recently for just the one evening, we were attending a funeral the following day. We were greeted very warmly by the proprietor Mark whom was a very nice gentleman. We were shown to our room and whilst small for a double it was faultless. The whole establishment is beautifully clean and the attention to...

I stay in Marlborough roughly once a week for business and have tried a plethora of different styled hotels, B&Bs and guest houses. Having tired of ridiculously fluctuating prices dependent on the day of the week I book in the town centre, and despaired of the big boxes that are nearby chain hotels, I saw Parklands while searching desperately for...

Had to find somewhere close to Swindon after the usual suspects were all full. Such a pleasure to relax in a friendly hotel rather than 'just sleep' in a room and grab a bite to eat. Stayed there twice now and both rooms are comfortable and perfect for a short stay. Owners are lovely and friendly and can't do enough...

Greeted by very friendly and helpful owner shame her husband isn't! Clean rooms but creaky beds and floors, if your staying in the next room to someone who gets up at 5am so will you. Don't think I could have stayed here more than 1 night.

I was working on a last minute job nearby and had stayed in Marlborough all week. A booking mistake left me high and dry, so a colleague was tasked with finding a hotel for myself and a co-worker. The surrounding area was rammed with little availability. Welcome to parklands. Having started at 0400 that morning, I was tired and in...

I was sent here on my own for a business trip, the hosts made me feel so welcome and even started breakfast earlier for me on a Saturday because I started work early! The room was spotless! And the personal little touches made all the difference. I don't know how this hotel was so cheap?!! The food was lovely and...

I was joined by 5 friends from my rambling club, all of who have stayed before. We were there as helpers at the annual walking event on the nearby Ridgeway long-distance footpath. The place is well-signposted in a picturesque village. Friendly staff, warm, comfortable and well-fitted bedroom. Good breakfast - plenty of choice.

We had a one night midweek stop at this hotel. I arrived late (23.15) but this didn't seem to cause a problem. Easy to find, and sign-posted off the main road, the parking was more or less on the street, but it's a quiet village so no real worries. Room was small for two but no complaints at the price....
