Great location, great place and wonderful atmosphere. In the tavern they serve delicious Rhodopi kitchen specials not to be missed. You can visit lots of wonderful places nearby - mountain trails, villages, waterfalls, caves and all sorts of interesting places. I recommend the place

This is the third time we’ve stayed in Hotel Karina , this time we had the 3 bed apartment- 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Very good value at 90 lev per night ,inc. breakfast which is adequate. There is one man who seems to run both the hotel and restaurant and he is very efficient. Service was very good and so was the traditional food we ordered, no complaints!

We have stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, enjoying the traditional breakfast of the Rodopi mountain and the quite surroundings of the village. The rooms are well isolated, warm, and very clean! They are not luxurious, but give you everything you may need. Quite. The Saturday dinner was accompanied by traditional performances (gaida play and songs) by marvelous artist! The food and the restaurant is highly recommended, moderate price and high quality! Try the red table wine: delicious! Parking just in front of the hotel. A supermarket next door. Location very central. Staff very friendly.

We booked 3 nights at a 2 bedroom apartment. Location is good, just 10 minutes drive to the Stoykite ski center. The rooms are clean, warm and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant downstairs is very good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We would definitely recommend for a short ski vacation.

Sure one of the best accommodations in this area - spacious, clean rooms with view over the mountain slopes. Good traditional restaurant offering local specialties. Music is nice. All in one makes a lovely authentic experience. Very pleased and happy from our stay.

Even more than I expected! Visited in February. Very cozy feeling. Very clean and warm room in traditional style. Smells like home. No plastic, all natural materials - mostly wood and stone. No problems with water or anything else. Highly friendly and helpful staff. Personal attitude. Delicious, traditional and natural food. Shiroka Lyka and it’s surrounding is a must visit place in Bulgaria. I’ve simply fallen in love with it!

A very pricey hotel compared to what you get. There is no elevator, the wifi is very weak and breakfast is too minimal (White cheese, jam and a bulgarian pastry made of dough). The room is also minimal, and feels like a hostel. Shiroka laka is beautiful, but it's half an hour drive from anywhere else, so the location is not so good for more than one night. The mexana (taverna) underneath the hotel is very nice though, a good place for dinner.

The hotel has a great location and overall Shiroka Laka is a great spot. Our room was very clean and pleasant. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was basic but good (good coffee, jam, cheese and everyday a different local type of bread or panckace). We also had dinner in the restaurant of the hotel and it was our best and most authentic meal in Bulgaria until now.
