this summer I came on vacation with a friend to the Hotel Antica. we were greeted by a strong staff with a big smile and welcome. the hotel is a boutique and has given us peace for a perfect vacation. the argola restaurant is located within the hotel, which has a terrace with direct sea views on bueatiful sunset. the food is great, extremely tasty. the waiter who served us is very nice and tried to satisfy all our wishes. a rich personalized breakfast was also served to us on the terrace. extremely clean rooms like the rest of the hotel. I would recommend Hotel Antica to everyone who wants to have a good rest and achieve wonderful memories, guaranteeing that you will not regret it. I really miss the hotel with perfect and friendly staff and the best sunset i have ever seen

We stayed at Antica for 4 nights as a base to explore the beautiful island of Hvar. The hotel only has 8 rooms and is really intimate. It’s amazingly clean and the rooms all have a sea view. Perfect location for exploring the island. Stari Grad is only a 20 minute stroll along the coast where you can find authentic restaurants serving fantastic local cuisine. Not only is the hotel impeccably clean, with a beautiful pool which ensures you have a comfy sun lounger due to the low number of guests but the service is unbeatable. Luka behind the bar ensured we were never without a drink and was always there to ensure we had everything and we were waited on hand and foot. Sarah was so attentive and amazing with our two boys, a lovely smile and so helpful with anything we needed. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty and perfect for setting you up for the day ahead. Jelica, the hotel manager, was fabulous. Nothing was too much and you can really tell that she lives for the hotel. We were made so welcome and felt like we had the hotel to ourselves. Anyone looking for a family friendly, warm, attentive, boutique hotel close to all of the places to go on Hvar has to book this hotel. We loved it. And will definitely be back soon.

I could talk for hours about how great this hotel and its staff are, so I will try my best to keep it brief! The hotel itself is conveniently located less than 5 minutes walk from the Stari Grad ferry terminal, which provides a direct link to Split. Don't worry - despite the hotel being so close to the terminal, there was no noise pollution or disturbance. The hotel also benefits from being just a 15 minute walk from the actual town of Stari Grad, which takes you along a scenic coastal path - perfect for those sunset walks into the town for dinner at one of the many restaurants/konobas. Stari Grad is a very picturesque and peaceful place, which was wonderful to have on our doorstep. We were glad we stayed here rather than Hvar Town, which was still easily reached for days trips using the hotel's very reasonable in-house taxi service. The hotel's deluxe rooms each offer large terraces with panoramic views of the bay, which was wonderful to wake up to every morning. The newly-installed pool is a fantastic feature, which has plenty of loungers and a large sun terrace for taking in the view. The included breakfast is sensational and is served under the covered terrace looking out over the bay - it was delicious and a real highlight every day! The hotel's star feature is definitely its staff. Jelica is a wonderful host who has years of experience within the industry, and is totally customer-focused in all she does - it is no understatement to say that nothing is too much trouble. Her staff members Luka and Sara were incredible and are an absolute credit to the hotel. They were both so friendly, genuinely interested in getting to know us and always happy to help. Jelica and her staff really do make you feel like a valued guest and part of the 'family', rather than just a room number. This is genuinely one of the best hotel experiences we've had, and we're so glad we chose Hotel Antica for our stay in Hvar. With just 8 rooms, the hotel offers a boutique experience and a level of service that just can't be emulated in larger hotels. This really is a fantastic place to stay on Hvar, and we wish Jelica and her team the success they deserve. Joe & Becky.

Arrived at the hotel on the bus and from the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more kind and helpful. The lady that worked on the desk did her best to get a good deal for us for a scooter and give us directions for a day out. The pool was great and very quiet. The location is perfect for the ferry port and it is a nice walk into the town center. I would recommend to stay here over Hvar town. The breakfast was probably the best feature and was great as well there was soo much choice and the food was great.
