Stopped for one night's stay here on our cycling tour. First task is to get booked in. There's no hotel reception so you go to the bar - which was busy when we arrived with plenty of staff but all tied up. When you do manage to get someone, they are pleasant. Key cards didn't work - well, you had...

Pleasant hotel just of the main road, but down the hill a bit so quiet, with great views across the valley to Alcaucin. Colourful and artistic. Good food. Note to cyclists: read the directions carefully. It's just off the main road, not up the hill in Alcaucin. We found out the hard way.

Nice family run hotel with friendly, efficient staff and food all day long. Flexible and excellent value. Super clean and well run hotel, bar and restaurant. These people know what they are doing. Have stayed and eaten here many times, alone and with my family and this is definitely the best hotel in town (there are some other good ones...

Although I did not actually stay at this hotel during this visit to Colmenar, I did get a look around, and eat there. You can chose to eat inside (a bit on the dark side) or outside. I chose the latter. The service was quick and friendly, the food was tasty and good value. The rooms were a good size...

This is a type of rural bed and breakfast family owned. This is our fourth year returning and believe me there is a great variety of choices: however this is ours. It is impeccably clean the food is wonderfully home made a ingredients fresh and the family makes you feel at home. The staff has limited use of the English...

We have stayed and eaten here regularly over the past four/five years. The rooms are comfortable, very clean, the hotel is (I think family run) and well managed. The staff are very helpful although there English isn't great. The food is superb and reasonably priced. Altogether I would highly recommend and will continue to come here if only just to...

This is a newish hotel on the outskirts of Colmenar facing the Natural Park. Its built in a traditional style and has a cosy bar and a traditional Spanish restaurant and menu. Local dishes like kid goat are cooked on a traditional wood oven and are pretty generous for a very reasonable price. A standard 3 course lunch was less...

Nice guy checked us in. Place seemed busy enough in downstairs bar/restaurant even when we arrived around noon or 1pm. Rooms seem modern and fairly clean. Took a stroll through Colmenar, had a bite to eat in little place and then had a siesta. Woke up from siesta and my stomach was not good (not the fault of the lunch...

This hotel is in Colmenar around 40km inland from Malaga. Very friendly staff, very helpful, some English spoken. Dinner in the evening was good, with good local wine. the room was fairly simple but clean and airy. They stored all our mountain bikes in the secure store below the hotel.

Stopped for a quick bite to eat after a day exploring the area. There are over 40 different tapas available ( take phrase book so you know what your ordering if your Spanish is basic ) all tapas are a € 1 each wow. We ordered about 18 between 4 of us and they filled a gap. Each tapas was so...
