We stayed for two nights at the Horse and Groom, for the start of our walking holiday in the Cotswolds. We loved the atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room (#2) was very spacious, with a lovely en-suite. The bed was super-comfy and we slept well. We had two breakfasts and two dinners at the Horse...

We had been here before and always vowed to return. We were lucky enough to have an deal that came through on one of those websites. The rooms are lovely, cozy but comfortable with good bathroom facilities. There is a garden room which we stayed in the first time which is special. The food is outstanding! A good menu using...

Just back from a one night stay at the Horse and Groom. It was a last minute booking and we are so very glad we managed to stay and dine here. We had a very warm and friendly welcome. Our room (No. 1) was extremely comfortable - large room and large bathroom. Alot of thought has gone into making the...

We stayed at Horse and Groom for two nights (end of February 2017). It was absolutely our best experience in the Cotswolds: a lovely, cozy and confortable place to stay, with friendly staff, super clean room, delicious supper (one of the best ever tried in Britain). We will surely come back! :)

We stayed here for a night whilst we went for dinner at the Wild Rabbit. Staff were very friendly and the bar was warm and cosy with a lovely fire burning. The room it's-self however was very small with a small double bed. The size actually made it difficult to get ready! In summary, it makes the most of what...

I stayed here for two nights in a very pleasant room. Ate in both nights and had two excellent meals..... relatives joined me the second night and we all ate different main courses which gave us a nice overview of the menu. You'd need to book to be sure but some turn-ups were fitted in without fuss. Young chirpy service...

Visited the Horse and Groom to meet up with friends for the weekend. We both arrived at 16.30 and were unable to get into the hotel as no staff on site, we were concerned at this poor start. Returned an hour later and quickly shown to our rooms by Richard who could not be more helpful. Spent the evening having...

We live abut 5 minutes from this pub and are fortunate that there are a lot of great pubs to choose from in this area. The Horse and Groom isn't one of them. We decided to pop in for drinks around 6PM (they are not open between 3-6). We had our 1 kilo Chihuahua with us. As I looked over...

There were four of us who stayed weekend 7th/8th October. We have visited the area several times. I would initially like to add that is getting increasing difficult to find a Pub/Inn that is not a 'Boutique' establishment The Horse & Groom was no exception as you could not get any simple food at lunchtime such as a sandwich, ploughman's...
