Excellent choice of wine. Even tried an 'orange' wine which was a first. The owner is very knowledgeable about wine and he's very happy to share his knowledge and recommendations. The food is tasty (although the menu doesn't change often). Cooked and presented well. All the staff were efficient and friendly. Plenty of seating & tables and even some lovely...

A team of older guys who live all over the South of England our quarterly supper gather has now visited the Bull for the 3rd time. It is the local for one of the team and on Mr Gluckman's recommendation we all tried the newish smokehouse menu. It's fantastic, so topping off brilliant service in a lovely setting, we now...

I have eaten here before and this time had to stay a night in the area so was quite happy to try the Bull. As before the food and drink was good and the room 'in the attic' was nicely appointed and up a suitably creaky staircase. It included an compact en-suite - but perfectly good enough for a nights...

My experience of dealing with the wedding planing team before the actual wedding was inconsistent and stressful. Told one price for a room by one member of staff then another price by a different member of staff. Sent overpriced invoice by staff by email, spoke on the phone twice to the same member of staff about it, assured all would...

We are very pleased to hear that as a wedding reception guest you had a lovely experience at The Bull. We acknowledge that there was some confusion over the cost of the room prior to checking in, perhaps relating to the breakfast charge which we were more than happy to waiver as complementary, however apologise that this was not updated...

If you want to come along Mothers Day and spend £13.50 on a child's meal of chicken nuggets and ice cream, and £40 on a roast dinner (that is priced at £14 normally) this is the place for you. We went in and just got pointed to the table, none of the three staff at the welcome desk showed us...

So, let’s deal with the facts. First there was confusion over the menu that the children could choose from. As we explained, there was a children’s menu at a children’s price, all using fresh ingredients, for children under 12 who are going to eat half portions and want simpler food. We didn’t have chicken nuggets on the children’s menu, and...

Following a fabulous family meal to celebrate my mother-in-law's 80th Birthday, held here in December we decided to host our 50th Birthday celebrations in The Buttery at The Bull Hotel, such a lovely venue ! From the beginning of the arrangements to the end of a fantastic evening, Hannah and the rest of the team at The Bull could not...

My partner and I have been fortunate enough to dine and stay in some wonderful inns and hotels during the last three years. Most have been good, some excellent but The Bull reigns supreme. Both the accommodation and food are consistently superb. The staff are knowledgeable about where the food is sourced and have recommended some fantastic wines we wouldn't...

The Bull is an old property full of character but as such has a number of shortcomings. The staff are very friendly, pleasant polite and efficient. The menu is out of the ordinary, interesting and the food is of high quality but very expensive for what it is. The wine list is probably the most extensive I have seen but...

We hosted our wedding at The Bull in the last weekend of February! Every single member of staff couldn't have done more for us, the wedding breakfast was cooked to perfection, decorations and the room set up was just beautiful and the service was faultless. We had so many guests tell us what a wonderful day they had, and thanks...

Four of us visited this restaurant on Saturday following various recommendations and none of us were disappointed. There is a warm welcome waiting for you as soon as you arrive and an excellent selection of Beers and wines in an impressive Drinks menu, including a selection of 'orange' wines (white wines made by leaving the skins and seeds in the...
