We are frequent drivers from UK to Algarve using Brittany Ferries. We like a one-night stay en route, the timing of which is geared to Ferry and tides table. Hotel Camino Real served us well: friendly staff, nice bar and restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Quiet room and a comfortable night whilst close to the motorway. Very pleasant and excellent...

Stopped at the Hotel Camino Real on our way to Santander from Portugal. This place is just off the motorway and about 2 hours outside Santander. A great budget hotel, clean rooms, friendly staff, a decent continental breakfast...and it is pet friendly. We wandered down the road to have a few drinks at the restaurant/bar at the truck stop then...

Stopped here on the way from Portugal to Bilbao. Just off the motorway with free parking. Room was fine with a bath tub. Bed was okay but not so comfy. Ate in the restaurant in the evening where they do a set 3 course menu for 10 Euros each which includes a bottle of their local wine !! Food was...

This is a great budget hotel and we stayed for a night on our way down to southern Spain. We have 2 dogs and our room was ideal, a good size with ensuite bathroom, wifi, everything you could need. If you want to walk the dogs you can go around to the back of the hotel and through the fence...

Ideally placed off the main highway, it is modern and well maintained. There is a restaurant with set lunch menu at 10 Euro which is good value. The rooms are a little Spartan but certainly adequate for a 1/2 night stay. Staff are helpful and very pleasant. There is ample parking which is well lit at night. Very popular with...

Well located, just off the free four lane highway, south of Burgos, near Palencia. Small but efficient rooms with shower, great wifi and a good restaurant with a nice varied menu for 10 euros. We are out of season but at 20.30hrs , restaurant opened for dinner and 9 tables were used. Nice breakfast with great choices. 300 meters and...

This is a great hotel to break the monotony of the journey from Santander to southern Spain or Portugal, if you've arrived on an early evening ferry. Just off the motorway, so easy to find. There is convenient parking at the front of the hotel. The entrance lobby is clean and welcoming with info about the local Cigales wine. The...
