Our stay at Mas Pau was far better than expected. The room was quite comfortable, and although the bath would need an update, there were a lot of facilities and space and the bed was really comfortable. Furthermore, the icing of the cake was the delicious breakfast we were served. Really worthy and good value for money!

Hotel Mas Pau is a gorgeous, tranquil property set in the countryside. The staff was friendly and helpful, and upgraded us to a larger suite and free breakfast without us making a request. We had a room in the tower, with a beautiful view of the fields and mountains. The bathroom was very large, with an excellent tub and a...

We went at lunch time to have the menu el dia which at €18 euros per head was terrific value. The quality of the food served was first class. A choice of 4 dishes for the starter and 4 for the main was varied enough to meet everyone's need and the portions were generous. The house. Wine was very drinkable....

The restaurant at this hotel served us a great Boxing Day menu a few years ago so as we were in the area we thought we would return for lunch. Not sure whether we turned up on the wrong day but this hotel and its restaurant were very closed. The entrance gates were firmly shut, there were no other cars...

A wonderful celebration of my wife's birthday with the Mas Pau 40th Anniversary Tasting Menu --- Amazing food with constantly changing textures and flavours --- too many variations to list Fantastic service from the Maitre d'Hotel and all his team including a delightful waitress who explained each dish to us in English --- remakable. All in an open sided upstairs...

This review refers only to the restaurant. It is always mentioned the el Bulli past of the chef. Truth is that this chef left El Bulli more than a decade before it became the revolutionary 'best' restaurant in the world. Food was definetily competent, with a highlight with a fish dish and probably the least impressive being the desserts. Anyway,...

a peaceful idyllic haven where the staff provide amazing care and attention & the food is always exceptional - wonderful and relaxing by the pool waiting for a banquet. Try the mussel and fennel jellied soup...it is heaven.

Although the food is outstanding the reservation/reception system is awful. They just cannot be bothered to respond. There are many, equally as good, hotels/restaurants in the area that do bother to respond to customers. I suggest people go to them, Mas Pau might then up its service level.

This hotel situated not so far from Figueres. If you traveling by car it's good idea to stay here on the way to Dali's places. You will get quiet place to stay in the old, but renovated building. With very nice restaurant located in country style building and terrace with breath taken view. Meals are delicious.

Mas Pau is a quiet and comfortable hotel with exquisite grounds and a private and lovely swimming pool with outdoor showers adjacent to the pool to pre-rinse. The pool was clean and well tended but not heated. The second day was cool (June) and a little windy. The area had a good landscape screen and that helped. We had the...
