This is a lovely place. We stayed here only one night but can imagine hanging out here longer for a leisurely weekend. The whole place has been nicely renovated and has a pleasing Mediterranean/French style. It was too cold for swimming while we were here but the pool area looked very pleasant. The French owner lady is nice and sociable. I cannot comment on the breakfast we have special diets and did not buy it. We only asked for coffee in the morning, and it was nice. Did get charged 3 euros for that, but, hey, business is business. I would recommend it for a short stay. There are no open natural spaces in the direct vicinity, need to drive to them, not very far, though.

We had a lovely three-night stay at Casa Grande in December - Julie and her husband were very welcoming and helped to make our stay special, including guidance on places to visit and walks we could do. It's a beautiful house, fantastic views, and about a mile out of Constantina. Great base for hiking and sight-seeing. Wonderfully quiet - you can only hear the owls at night. Breakfast was in a lovely sunny room with a fantastic view across the valley - and all very nicely prepared. Would highly recommend Casa Grande!

Arrived in Constantina at about 17.00hrs, couldn't find a any accommodation, went into a bar next thing I know is that all has been arranged and given directions to the 'Casa'. On arrival we were greeted by Julia the French owner and offered a delightful room, fantastic. Beautiful position in the valley about 1.5k north of the town in a lovely rural setting, with terraces and pool. Heaven on earth, expected to stay one night but stayed 3 and found it difficult to leave. We hope to return again soon. Very many thanks to Julia and her family for making us so welcome.
