This B&B was better than advertised! We stayed here for five nights and had a fantastic time. The food was great and Sandra and Bouduin were wonderful host with great knowledge of the area. The whole atmosphere was definitely French Country!

we just returned from an 8 daystay in the St Augustus suite. It had everything, including a woodburner stove that was wonderful to come back to on a cold october evening, after having eaten yet again at the highly recommendable La Petite Tonnelle in the village. The tranquility of the place meant having to use an alarm clock to wake... More

My husband and I stayed 5 nights in the St Hubertus suite. I don't think there is enough space to mention every wonderful thing about Balcon-en-Foret. Our suite was spotlessly clean, very spacious, had a working fire stove in the bedroom (which was filled with wood ready for us to light each evening), had beautiful antique furniture, plenty of storage... Amazing and charming place at a walking distance from one of the most beautiful village of France. This a little paradise retreat for any couple looking for a romantic get away. We had an amazing time staying in this quiet a very tastefully renovated and decorated old house.

For our extensive travels we try choosing small B&Bs as often as possible. We have stayed at many very fine ones. this is one of top 5. The location is fantastic, a beautiful 10 minutes walk of incredible views, to the magnificent village of Beynac. This old farm is located away from the busy roads, amongst trees and pastures. Innumerable... More

It is truly a place I will go back again no question ask. Not only is a enchanting stone cottage with tasteful interior , but also Sandra the host who made the place so special. I think there are many lovely cottages around the area , but it is the combination of host and cottage to make an unforgettable stay.She... More

Possibly our favorite place we've ever stayed. The owners have great taste and have curated every detail. Our room had beautiful royal blue chairs in front of a wood burning fireplace, a charming antique writing desk, a dining table in the center of the room with candlesticks, and a gorgeous canopy bed. They told us that they try to offer... More

This charming stone cottage in the woods above Beynac houses 3 unique rooms. St Hubertus is a large suite with separate upstairs bathrom and an extra room for suitcases, small frig, coffee machine etc. ( one problem is no sink in this room, but the owners are going to add one.) The main room has a draped 4 poster bed,... More

There are so many exceptional qualities to mention when writing about Balcon en Foret. The owners are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to offer guidance from the time we arrived until our departure date. This included sites to visit along with towns that were having market days. Each beautiful suite comes with a private terrace.... More
