I can't say enough about stay at Anna's Breton childhood home situated on Anna's farm. The location was perfect for exploring the area and living a true Breton experience. My wife and I choose the placed where we'll stay on our own which may sound a bit risky. Fortunately we never experienced the risk side but staying Au Vieux Moulin with Anna was a REWARD PLUS. From the time we pulled up to when we left Anna welcomed us like family. The homemade Breton breakfast each morning was spectacular. Just s good was her tips on where to go and what to do from small fishing villages to eat to the highlight of the local cafe having a Village Breton night where the locals come in with there instruments, play the celtic.breton music and dance the Breton Dances. WOW we were the only 2 non -local and the locals treated us like we came home for a visit.. Take the risk and you'll be rewarded by Staying Here…
For anyone wishing to explore the beautiful coast of Brittany, you MUST have a stay at Au Vieux Moulin! The family farmhouse of the owner Anne, refinished into a lovely B&B, is such a treat to stay in. Anne, herself, is a joy, a most informative host, and wonderful baker! Each morning found us at a large farm table with an assortment of baguettes, croissants, farm cheese, wonderful homemade jams, yogurts, crepes and large bowls of fresh coffee! As to the surrounding area, Anne gave us great tips of where to go and what to do, including listening to Breton music at a local pub with Breton dancing included! There are lovely coastal walks and wonderful co-op restaurants supplied with the fresh catch of the day from the local fishermen. Brittany is a lovely place and Au Vieux Moulin is absolutely a must visit.…
The highlight of our family vacation in Brittany. Anne and Thierry Lymes are gracious and welcoming hosts with abundant knowledge of the area and enthusiasm for sharing their favorite sights. The guest rooms are charming and very clean and the breakfasts, with Anne's homemade cakes and crêpes, are delicious. Our children enjoyed the opportunity to stay at a working farm. We wholeheartedly recommend Au Vieux Moulin and look forward to a return trip with our family to stay in the yurts when the weather turns warm again!
