Nice clean site, pitches quite short - our tent went right up to the path, so we parked the car elsewhere and sat out at the side of the tent. Toilet/shower block nice and clean, separate section with sinks in cubicles with doors which was nice. Pleasant bar area with lovely pizzas and fresh bread in the morning. We didn't use the swimming pool but it looked lovely. Lots of trees and bushes, so reasonable privacy. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Site went quiet after about 10pm, so lovely and peaceful.
We stayed in a 4 birth static. Dog welcome. Staff really try to speak English but this is a very French camp site so you need to be mindful. We tried our best and our French improved! Covered pool. A bit on the cool side for me! Very clean. Events every day. I.e crêpe night by local Crêpier Gregory Thomas. 2 washing machines & a dryer. Approx €3 per wash. Plenty to do in the area. Lots of small ports and rocky cliffs to walk along. Lots of great food. We will definitely go back. Staff lovely. Merci!
We visited here for 12 nights at the beginning of August with our caravan, two children and also my in-laws came with there caravan. When we 1st got here I have to be honest and say my 1st impressions were not great. We had travelled 8hrs it was raining when we got there and the original two pitches we were given were very small and felt very cramped with a lot of tents, caravans and motor homes all with in quiet close proximity. The next day the sun was shining so we decided to have a good look around before we decided on weather to move to another site, needless to say I'm very pleased we did. After having a good look round the one side of the site has different sizes in pitches and I think we may have just been unlucky, but along with the static vans they have it still feels cramped and the narrow path/road you have to get round especially when your towing a van isn't for the faint hearted. What we didn't realise is there is another side to this site which has approximately another 15/20 pitches and it feels like a different site, they are well spaced out with mostly high hedges to separate each pitch and are very big. Luckily for us we came across two pitches together that were perfect and the owners were more than happy for us to move. So my advice would be to ask and have a good look around, which I did see lots of the other people doing when they arrived. The facilities are kept clean and well maintained, the indoor pool is lovely and my 2 children spent many a happy hour in having fun. They also loved the clown bouncy castle and the trampoline. What was also great is that by 10.30/11 every night the site goes quiet and very peaceful which was great for settling the kids. Location is perfect, only 5 mins in the car to a beach also the town and a big super market are all within a short car ride away. It's a beautiful part of France. So to sum up, I'm glad we stayed and id more then recommend this site. …
Kergariou is a great site for families with children of all ages and couples looking for a quiet, reasonably priced holiday. The pitches are large, separate and shaded by trees which also protect from the atlantic wind. The facilities are well maintained, clean and adequate in number. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but not afraid to enforce the rules which make everyone's stay better and safer. There are children's activities most mornings, a trampoline, bouncy castle, playground, football pitch. Be prepared to drive or cycle to a beach and pleasant villages. Gr8 beach 5mins drive in Pouldu. Bakery and local shops 2 mins drive (bread delivered to site each am) in Clohars-Caronet. Super market 3 mins drive in C-C. Excellent family run camp site overall.
