Bella Beach lies on a beautiful stretch of the Cretan sea in the centre of the northern coast of Crete. This extremely select hotel at which earthy hues are dominant has been built with local brick and marble and the overall tranquility leaves one with a lasting impression of the grandeur and comfort of bygone days. The relaxing pool area invites you to laze away your holidays, while there are, of course, many leisure and sporting activities available for those who prefer them. RESTAURANT POLICY- DRESS CODE Casual but smart dress is required in all indoor public areas of the hotel after 19:00. Please refrain from wearing shorts and slippers in the dining room for Dinner.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is classified according to Giata.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

The Bella Beach Hotel offers a prime beachfront location that has been highly appreciated by many guests for its tranquility and accessibility to attractions. While the hotel's staff earns praise for their friendly and efficient service, some guests have experienced occasional delays, particularly at the bars. The hotel's amenities, including the beach, pool, and dining options, are generally well-received, but there is a call for modernization and better maintenance.
Rooms are noted for their space and cleanliness, but the hotel faces criticism for outdated decor and inconsistent housekeeping. A lively atmosphere with entertainment is a highlight, although some guests would prefer more live music and less noise. Despite the overall cleanliness and welcoming vibe, the value for money is questioned by travelers who expect more for the price.

Just returned from a fantastic holiday at Bella Beach with my family of 8. Very warm and friendly welcome on arrival and promptly shown to our rooms. We were lucky to have all 4 rooms together. The beach was our daily visit and had a lovely breeze, the sea was fun with the waves. The pool was fun with our pool hammocks. The entertainment team around the pool were very chatty and always if you wished to participate in the daily activities. All the staff were so friendly and remembered us every time we visited the bar or restaurant. Special credits to all the Giorgio’s and Evi at the beach bar. All the staff work such long hours but always have a smile to welcome you. Rooms were large and were cleaned by the time we got back from breakfast. Beach towels are provided and are renewed every day. We ate at the Olive tree which was a fish night and divine. All the food in the restaurants was great with plenty of choice and great flavours. The chef took time to talk to you and load your plate with his dish of the day. You were never left hungry or thirsty. Good range of cocktails and the baileys iced coffee was the best. 2 members of our party arrived late at night and a food package was left in the fridge which was greatly appreciated. We had a late pick up at 6pm but was able to book a room for 30 mins at 5pm to shower and freshen up after a day on the beach. Always able to get a sun bed which were extreme comfortable. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in and will treasure the memories we made.

We've just returned from a wonderful 10 day holiday at Bella Beach Hotel in Crete.
We went for my Husbands 50th Birthday, and firstly I would like to say a big thank you to Katerina for making sure we had a lovely room near our Son & his girlfriend. Both rooms had its own pool which was nice and refreshing, especially first thing in the morning, or in the afternoon after a day on the beach.
The rooms are a little dated but are comfortable. Towels are replaced daily but you need to ask at Reception for your bed linen to be changed. Room cleaning is a bit hit and miss, some days better than others, but overall the hotel is kept very clean.
We really enjoyed all of the food that we had. There is a themed night each night and everything was delicious. Petros is a fantastic chef who is very proud of the food they cook and takes the time to talk to you about the food he's serving. Petros and all the kitchen staff work really hard and the food is varied and tasty.
We booked a meal at the hotel Orion Al a Carte Restaurant for my Husbands birthday. It was a set Greek menu which was delicious and plentiful. Thank you to Alana who arranged for the table to be decorated with balloons etc and also arranged a lovely birthday cake for him. We had a really lovely evening.
All of the staff are friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble. Special thanks to Soula in the restaurant who looked after us each morning, and was happy to help with our daily Greek language lessons 🤣....Efcharistio !!
The animation team work really hard and are good fun, especially Ignas. We took part in the aquafit classes and water polo, and joined in with the quiz night and the Greek dancing.
The wine and beer are both really tasty and the soft drinks are branded and are freely available from the snack bar, beach bar and restaurant.
The hotel is on the beach front and there are plenty of sunbeds available. It was very windy when we were there (which was a welcome relief on some days 🥵) so we weren't always able to go in the sea as there was a red flag from the lifeguard, but the pool was lovely.
If you are going, look out for the gorgeous cat and her three beautiful kittens that are around....they're always grateful for a snack!
A final thank you to the Reception team for their help. On arrival home we found we'd left something in the safe in one of the rooms. We contacted the Hotel and they have found our item and are arranging to send it to us....greatly appreciated.
We've had a fantastic holiday and I'm sure we will be back again.

My sister and I stayed at Bella Beach for 7 nights and had the most amazing experience for our first time visiting Crete. We cannot thank all of the staff enough for being so friendly and helpful, making us feel very safe and cared for - especially as my sister and I were visiting alone. The bar staff and waiters in particular were so lovely, especially Giorgos and Aggelos. The range of food, drinks and cocktails were delicious every night with something for everyone and something different every night, including the A La Carte restaurants. The hotel is practically on the beach with free access to sunbeds and umbrellas (which not all hotels have) and we had no issues finding space every day. We noted this part of the beach was also the biggest on the strip and was a lovely 20 minute walk to the nearest supermarket/souvenir shops. Our room was spotless, very spacious and had a perfect view of the gardens and pool. The only minor negative to note was the shower which was quite small and overflowed onto the floor a bit with it only having a shower curtain. The rooms were cleaned and towels refreshed daily, including beach towels. A lot of people suggested hiring a car to tour Crete, however we had no issues with the buses into the nearby towns of Heraklion and Hersonissos for less than €3 per person which were only a short journey away. The nearest bus stop to the hotel is number 17 which is right on the main road, about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We also really enjoyed the train tour from the beach which you could book for either a couple of hours or half a day and see the lovely towns and villages of Crete. The hotel night time entertainment was also really enjoyable, especially the Greek dancing and there was something fun on every night. Overall, we had the most relaxing time and absolutely loved our stay at Bella Beach. We will definitely be returning next year with the rest of our family!

The hotel has its strengths, but also some significant drawbacks.
Let’s start with the positive aspects: 1. The location is quite nice with a lovely beach that is quiet and offers plenty of sunbeds. The beach is decent, although a bit rocky in some parts. 2. There is a big pool area with two pools.
However, there are several issues: 1. Upon arrival, we were given rooms in another building, seemingly shared with hotel workers. We reserved king-size beds but received two single beds pushed together. 2. The rooms were made up theoretically, but the sheets appeared as if someone had just slept in them. 3. Daily cleaning consisted only of changing towels and straightening sheets, with no vacuuming, mopping, or replenishing of shower gel. 4. A smaller pool in front of our building was never cleaned. 5. The ultra all-inclusive package was limited: four types of cocktails, wine, beer, and some juices until 11 PM. After that, everything had to be paid for until the bar closed at 1 AM. 6. There was no water provided in the room beyond the first day’s single bottle. We had to purchase additional water bottles, as they could not be obtained from the bar. 7. The beach bar, while managed well by Evy, operated from 10 AM to 6 PM with limited options. 8. The advertised a la carte dinner consisted of predefined foods, not offering true a la carte choices. 9. The food choices were overall poor, with repetitive meals and almost no soup variety. 10. Beach canopies could not have the blinds placed on top, only on the sides. 11. Unfortunately, a personal item of great sentimental value was taken from my mother's wallet. The hotel claimed no responsibility due to a signed clause. Safe rental was unusually expensive at 15€ per day. 12. The WiFi was very poor. 13. The spa services were overpriced, with massages costing 100€. 14. The hotel lacked evening lighting by the beach, making it difficult to see.
Special thanks to Evy from the beach bar and Giorgios from the main bar for their excellent service. Despite their efforts, this hotel does not meet 5-star standards and feels more like a 3-star establishment. The cost of the vacation did not match the quality of the experience. Therefore, I cannot recommend this hotel.

It is NOT 5 stars hotel. I can't it recommend anybody.
We were 3 adults and we got ONE bottle of watter, not for person a day, not for room per day, but for the room a for WHOLE WEEK.
When I asked for more bottles, it was rejected due the hotel policy. The receptionist adviced me either to fill it in hotel bars (there are not open 24 hours) our buy the watter in the hotel shop.
The beach towels you can change each 2 daysand not during weekend and so on, so on.
I am absolutelly OK with this in 2 or 3 stars hotel, it is crazy in 5 stars hotel.
Shame of you.

Spent 10 night in this hotel from 29th July . Positives : - fairly clean - friendly staff with good English level - nice beach - good food - nice wine bar Negatives : - very poor all inclusive program , just few local drinks included ( you must pay for international drinks ) - very outdated rooms ( faulty shower in our bathroom , leaking everywhere - reported several times to reception but no actions taken ) . Do not accept accommodation in the building across the road , it’s a disaster !!!! - empty fridge in the room , you will get one bottle of water , will not be replaced , no juices or anything else !!!!! - no water available unless you queue in the restaurant or beach bar ( beach and pool bar with one staff only , sometime you can queue good 10-12 minutes just to get water ) - all inclusive program ends at 23:00
We have been going to Greece for the last 7 years , different islands but 5 star hotels . Bella beach is a decent hotel but 3 stars as maximum .
If you paid for a 5 star hotel you will be very disappointed , change it while you can .

This is not a 5* hotel, I would give it a 3*. Needs modernising. Furniture stained in main areas and rooms. The head housekeeper needs to check on the rooms as they are not very clean. Dirty/grimy taps, sinks, baths, mirrors. Floors not swept and bed linen not changed, had to request bed change on day 8. Pool towels only changed once complained on day 8. I kept going to laundry cupboard to get my own. Management try to apologise by giving you free wine and fruit, safe, massages etc, but this does not compensate for the problems encountered. Door to room would not close or lock on arrival at 1.30am. Sink basins peeling, broken showers, sun loungers. Vegetarian food limited and not always available, if you like plain salad or spaghetti for every meal you are ok. Booked 14 night all inclusive but we went out to dine most evenings as choices were limited. Lovely Italian dining less than 5 mins walk away called Peccito Divino. Some food not edible, was burnt and over cooked. Evening entertainment limited and cancelled several evenings so take cards, board games etc to keep you amused as no entertainment close to hotel. All inclusive does not cover all drinks only local drinks, there is a 7 euro charge for most common drinks. Hersonissos is 10 euro in a taxi. Will not recommend or return to this hotel.

The hotel was excellent, very clean and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is superb set on a beachfront separated by a great promenade for which we enjoyed many an early morning and evening stroll.
Our room (446) was 3rd floor sea facing with incredible panoramic views, spacious and airy with plenty of storage, a decent fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and possibly the best air-conditioning I’ve ever experienced in 35 years of travelling. The cleaners were very thorough and our room was cleaned to a very high standard every day.
Food choices were very good, properly cooked and nicely presented with most international tastes catered for, a special mention to the Maitre d’hotel who was always present in the evening and politely greeted everyone and also the two main restaurant waitresses who always welcomed us with a smile and had our drinks ready on arrival both at breakfast and evening meals.
Drinks were also very good with available throughout the day. The bar staff especially the two Giorgos in the main evening bar and the delightful Evi from the beach bar were superbly attentive and always remembered our drinks.
Entertainment was fairly low-key but varied on a nightly basis which is what we prefer as a middle-aged couple.
We will definitely consider a return to the Bella Beach as it ticked every box for us.

This is a lovely hotel, made even better by the excellent and very helpful staff. From arrival to departure, everyone was so friendly. Room was great, nice and clean, spacious too. We paid extra for the sea view, which was well worth it. Food very good, and all well presented in the spotlessly clean restaurant. Gluten free requirements all catered for, but make sure you speak with the restaurant manager Apostolas, lovely man, who will make sure you are looked after. The head chef Pedros takes a personal pride in his kitchen. Shout outs too for Evie in the beach bar and restaurant. Soula was just great, couldn't do enough for you in the restaurant, Manos too. 5* for me. Gents need to bring trousers for the restaurant in the evening. Pool area and beaches were quiet as it was early May, so no problem with sunbeds. We will be back next year.

My partner and I came on holiday to Bella Beach expecting a standard all inclusive experience however we got so much more than that. Bella Beach exceeded our expectations and we are keen to return! Bella Beach hotel managed to provide all the small details that you wouldn’t even think of. We arrived late at night and were taken to our room by an extremely friendly steward. When we arrived to our room, sandwiches, bananas and bottles of water were waiting for us in the room which was so thoughtful and very gratefully accepted. We were already impressed. Also in the room were towel robes, slippers, blankets for the cooler evenings and beach towels to be used throughout your stay. The hotel room was beautiful and always kept clean by housekeeping staff who were always friendly and willing to come back if you weren’t ready for the room to be cleaned. The food and drink selection was excellent. With the main restaurant and a snack bar, we were never left hungry and the choice of food and snacks meant we were excited for meal times. Staff both at the bar and restaurants were always willing to help and ensured our experience was always great. The hotel offered various entertainment programmes which we weren’t expecting in May. The hotel’s animation team was excellent and always enthusiastic. My partner and I wouldn’t usually take part however the animation team were so lovely and chatty, we ended up joining in with games like darts and Scholer during the day. The evening’s entertainment was also varied with games, quizzes and a Greek Folklore night which was incredibly fun. The hotel also has a gym with fixed weightlifting equipment as well as free weights and cardio equipment. We used the indoor pool inside the spa where we met Nathalie. She talked us through the available treatments and we both had a massage. This is something neither of us had experiences before and were unsure of what this would be like. Nathalie and Anna (masseuse/ magician) made us feel so relaxed and I speak for the both of us when I say we left feeling a million dollars. One evening on the way to our evening meal, a photographer stopped us in the lobby and asked to take some photos which were gorgeous and we will treasure those forever. Perfectly located basically on the beach, the hotel is surrounded by other resorts as well as some local restaurants, bars and supermarkets. This meant we were able to take daily walks and explore. I cannot thank staff enough for a fantastic holiday at this brilliant hotel and we cannot wait to return.
