We used this as a stopover on the way to sth france. Initial shocked at the age of the decor 1960, however it was clean and served a purpose, no more! the restaurant next door was very poor and expensive, strongly suggest you grab some food before ariving at Hotel as there is NO choice of an alternative facility ....

Old hotel located in very posh location next to the lake which brings great value to your stay. We stayed in a family room which was okay. The room was lake facing but a little congested. The view is extremely nice from the hotel lawns. Secured parking is available onsite. The check-in is not available until late which is a...

What can I say? We booked this hotel as its in the middle of France (so ideal when driving back to UK from Provence) and the lake & dog policy looked really appealing and the on-site restaurant was an added bonus (or so we thought). Luckily we arrived early (around 1.30 pm) so had chance for a good look around....

My wife and I stayed here on our way down to Italy from the UK. We chose this hotel as it was not far out of the way and was dog-friendly. I must admit, I didn't take the time to look at any reviews, but I wished I had. The rooms downstairs looked, smelled and felt like an old abandoned...

Having read some of the reviews before we booked, and considering we'd left it until the last minute before booking an overnight stay on the way to Switzerland, we thought it couldn't be that bad - how wrong we were!! I agree, this is NOT a hotel, it's more like a hostel - dark, dingy, very very basic, noisy (the...

First of all- this is listed as a 2 star hotel. If you are expecting a picturesque country hotel break - this is not it. I would call this a hostel, rather than Hotel. The photos of the property are a little misleading- the restaurant is not connected, and the (many winding, dark) rooms, are basic rooms with kitchen facilities,...

We booked this hotel for 4 nights after finding what appeared to be a pretty little hotel in an ideallic setting. Our party consisted of 3 adults and 2 children so we booked an apartmet. When we arrived at the hotel we were advised that the restuarant would be closed for the week. As the hotel was not near local...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
La Mezelle is a family 2 star hotel located in a peaceful countryside, a 20-minute drive from the A31 exit in Montigny Le Roi. Strongly influenced by the mainstream of the modern movement in architecture, the building bears the imprint of industrial techniques. Overlooking meadows and a fishing lake, ideal for a break in nature, the perfect way to recharge your batteries with your partner or the whole family. La Mezelle appeals to fishermen and hikers with plenty opportunities for walks in the surrounding countryside. The rooms are all non-smoking and come with Wi-Fi. A shuttle to Bourbonne Les Bains thermal baths is available every morning from Monday to Saturday. A buffet breakfast can be eaten daily in the breakfast room. Guests can use the fitness room to their liking. They can also book the sauna or request a facial treatment and massages at an extra charge. Bike rental is possible on site. Our picks : The Museum, the Thermal bath and the Casino in Bourbonne Les Bains, the hand-made mouth-blown glass by the master glass-makers in Passavant La Rochère, the fine collection of highly decorative knives at the cutlery museum in Nogent, Charles De Gaulle memorial and the cross of Lorraine at Colonbey Les Deux Eglises, the inner-city circuit and la Maison des Lumières connected with the philosopher Denis Diderot in Langres, the stone village of Cohons and its two remarkable gardens, the sweet factory in Darney, the basilica of Saint-Joan of Arc on the hill side in Bois Chenu very close to Joan's house in Domrémy, the ampitheatre and mosaics in gallo-roman city of Grand, the living tradition of basket making with willow cultivated in the region of Fayl Billot. ... more   less
