The castle has just 8 chambers to offer, it is a kind of top class B&B, really worth a few days stay. First of all the welcome is excellent, much warmer and friendly than an icy cold five star hotel, the location is wonderful, outstanding view on the Serre Poncon lake and chambers are kept in a 19th century style...

The restored chateau is the ideal place to unwind and do nothing. There is no tv here. This is the place to take book, sit in the garden and read. The chateau offers B&B accommodation with large rooms. The rooms are decorated in a range of classical styles. Wifi is free and works in the rooms. Breakfast is a simple...

Our family enjoyed a night's stay at this chateau - warmly welcomed and every need graciously met. Such a beautifully restored historic gem in a spectacular setting. A magical experience. A delicious breakfast greeted us upon awakening. Our son and his cycling buddy found this a perfect overnight between days climbing the Haut Alps famous climbs.

We had been travelling on an motorcycle tour of the Alps and French Riviera for 12 days and this was the penultimate night. Over two had been at some wonderful places however this was the most special of the accommodations. The wonderful Hosts Jack and Sharon spent four years restoring this grand castle dating to the 16th century. The rooms...

My wife and I stayed in this marvelous castle only for one night. But it was our best night during our three weeks tour in France. The hosts, the wife is from Boston and the husband French, we're very gracious and hospitable. We slept in one of the tower with a side study overlooking the gardens. Absolutely fantastic. The breakfast...

The owners are gracious with their time to show you their life's work and will guide you to relaxing or more adventurous outings as day trips during your stay. A beautiful...

We stayed for three nights in July as part of a 14 night Spanish/French road trip in a range of properties from Relais & Chateaux to Campanile, so this review is relatively objective. The hosts are charming and welcoming to what is effectively their home. An error had been made in our booking, which was professionally resolved by us staying...

Just returned from 3 nights here. It was trully excellent and worth the extra money to stay here. The owners Jacques and Sharon were so kind and made for a great stay. The room was the smaller of the rooms but did the job. The bed squeeked quite badly, so sleep quality could of been better but apart from that...

Jacques and Sharon are warm welcoming hosts. The castle is both grand and charming. The location is stunning. We enjoyed hiking in the area as well as the local food. We also enjoyed relaxing in the garden and in our beautiful tower room. We were impressed with the way Sharon and Jacques restored this 1,000 year old castle. Attention was...

On a motorcycle tour with Adriatic Moto Tours, we stayed at Picomtal. The place is amazing, with a history that stretches back centuries. The Peureux family have done a wonderful job of restoration, (ask to see the short film showing the process, or look it up on their website), both of the building and the surrounding grounds. The rooms are...
