This was a great find.A short drive to Calais and very comfortable rooms. The welcome was warm and informative.Breakfast was good .Not too expensive and a good selection.Very good bread.Eating on a Monday night required a drive but not too onerous.I would recommend driving into Guines rather than Wissant.I thought the restaurant La Chaloupe overrated . It was recommended to us...

My husband and I stayed at this B&B for one night as we travelled between Calais and Bruges and we wished we could've stayed longer! Juliette greeted us as soon as we arrived and showed us around, we were the only ones staying that particular night so had the place to ourselves which was very nice. The B&B is so...

My partner and I spent the weekend here for our first anniversary, Juliet the owner met us at the door and was most welcoming. She put up with my pigeon French and spoke excellent English to my husband (who cant speak French) We had the double bedroom above the dinning room, it was in the roof of the barn conversion...

We chose Chantebise on recommendations read here and can only say that we were in no way disappointed. We were met with a very friendly welcome and the room was fascinating in, what must be, an old barn restoration. It is set into the roof of the old building that has been very cleverly and tastefully decorated with the bathroom...

We wanted a privately run, small, quiet B&B in the countryside close to Calais - an internet search plus double-check on TripAdvisor found this gem. We were due to arrive ca 9pm on the evening Juliette doesn't cook but weren't expecting to eat there anyway - but we were thrilled to see she has Chimay beer... We were hoping to...

Chantebise is a B & B which provides evening meals for those who do not wish to get back in the car and drive to find a restaurant (there being no obvious alternative in the village). We arrived on a foggy night in January and were warmly welcomed by Juliette, the owner, who was most attentive and helpful throughout our...

We wanted an auberge near the tunnel and after researching on the internet we found Chantebise. It had great reviews and we can certainly see why! Juliette greeted us when we arrived and made sure that we had everything that we needed, including advise(her English is brilliant!) on the local area, where to eat, shop etc., Our room was a...

We had driven over 500 miles and had booked ahead on the internet the previous evening. Juliette was wonderful and earlier in the day anticipating we would need to eat but would be too tired to go out she sent a number of of texts about preparing a simple meal for us. She served us lovely fresh quiche & salad...
