We were over New Year's Eve after a long time again in the Ludinmühle and again completely enthusiastic. You wellness area is even more beautiful than our last stay. The food is unchanged at star level. What we particularly liked, the breakfast buffet of a slightly different kind. You don't take the food yourself, they are put together as desired and put on the plate. This is hygienic, appetizing and guests only take what they really eat. No wishes are left unfulfilled !

Here you really feel as a guest, welcome, nothing is a problem.
The staff is friendly, helpful and warm. You can tell who works here is having fun. Here the owner has done a lot right !

We will come back gladly, safely and soon !

Our first stay in the "Ludinmühle" was a complete success. The positive external appearance continues inside the various buildings. Beautiful, clean and functionally furnished rooms, a well-kept outdoor area at the main building with a heated outdoor pool, a spacious wellness area with a fitness room, relaxation rooms, a well-kept indoor pool or the lawn invite you to swim, take a sauna, get a massage or just chill out.

Very friendly and helpful staff, from reception to service and housekeeping throughout the house. The guest is king!

From the extensive breakfast buffet, the snacks in the "Geniessergärtli" to the

6-course menu of choice in the evening, the excellent cuisine leaves nothing to be desired.

Eating is done in various smaller "rooms" in the main building, which has a very positive effect on the atmosphere of the room.

For more sporty guests, there are also outdoor activities in the form of various hiking routes or e-bike tours.

The "Ludinmühle" is not the cheapest hotel, but for us the price-performance ratio was still 100% right. We will definitely recommend this hotel!

Very warm welcome on arrival. Very competent and very helpful staff everywhere.
Beautiful room, modern and bright, with a view of the valley. Lots of light wood, a bed in which we slept wonderfully and a modern bathroom. Everything was sparkling clean.
The food was excellent. The 6-course dinner was served in several courses by very friendly and attentive staff. The dishes were beautifully presented - and very tasty! You could help yourself to salads and cheese. The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced!
Unfortunately, it was a mistake that we opted out of the evening menu one evening and signed up for the fondue evening. You can eat fondue anywhere.
The breakfast concept is brilliant and top-notch in terms of hygiene, a combination of service and self-service. Fish, meat, sausage, cheese, etc. were placed on the plate behind a glass cover by very friendly staff as requested, so not all guests rummaged through the plates and everything still looked appetizing even after an hour. Small treats were available in small, sealed jars to take away. Egg dishes were freshly prepared to order.
The quality and selection was excellent.
The small items offered in the gourmet garden are also very tasty.
The wellness area is modern and architecturally beautiful, the relaxation rooms are fantastic. Bright, with large windows, great loungers, subtle music and real peace. Real wellness atmosphere, no hustle and bustle, no rush. The
massages were great.
All rooms and areas were well maintained and super clean.
We felt very comfortable from the first second. You could feel the personal attention of the Zimmermann family everywhere. We have never experienced that all, but really all, of the employees were extremely friendly and helpful. A great, very relaxed wellness vacation that we will definitely repeat.

We have been coming to this hotel for years because everything is just right:
All the rooms we have used so far have been clean, everything worked, the rooms are also tastefully decorated, although it is of course difficult to please all guests' tastes. The food is excellent, you could almost call it Michelin-star cuisine. The breakfast is sensationally good. The wellness area is varied and great. Everyone gets their money's worth here. Finally, a word about the staff: I have never encountered such friendly and committed staff in the catering industry. This friendliness is unique.

Unfortunately, my stay of 3 nights was far too short, but I felt extremely comfortable all around - from the reservation to the farewell - and I more than enjoyed the spacious wellness area and the pampering board with the 6-course menu in the evening! The extensive breakfast with the large selection and the option of having scrambled eggs freshly prepared was also amazing. The room and bathroom were always clean and equipped with the most important things, the bed and the pillows were a dream. All the staff lived the family atmosphere of the hotel, which means that you just feel at home as a guest. Thank you very much for this great service, I am already looking forward to my next stay!

Children intimidated in the pool

I have never written a bad review before, but this place was so horrible it merits a first, to protect other families from this experience. Travelling through Italy and Germany in luxury hotels with our 3 young children (7, 5, 2) for the past 3 weeks we had wonderful experiences everywhere except this awful one. We really implored the manager to let us leave because we really did not feel at ease but he was not willing to waive the cancellation fee of 80%.
Simply put: Do not go here with kids.
This place is just horrible if you are with young children. The general age of people is elderly (70+) and most things are catered to them. Nothing wrong with that but it is clearly not for families with young kids, so they should not advertise this and should have pointed this out during reservations.

The hotel is full with elderly people who don’t want children playing in the pool, children are not allowed to jump in the pool, splash or make noise. There is a relax area right next to the pool. Different people come up to them to intimidate the children, (one even went as far as shoving), leaving them crying and upset. We started filming the incidents after our 2 year old was pushed in the water and we found out some of their toys were taken away.

We stayed in this lovely hotel for 4 nights with our 6 year old girl.
We had the Verwöhnpensioun thus eating there morning lunch and dinner and we really enjoyed the delicious food. Great choice at the breakfast buffet and friendly waitresses. Pencils and colouring in menus provided for children.
Our room was spacious, well equipped and clean. The bed was comfy and new fruit there every day. What I really appreciated were some small touches: our view was not great it was onto the roof of the kitchen and restaurant, but they made it nicer by putting iron animal cuttings there, great care to detail!
My massage was great and we enjoyed the pool and spa. The only negative point is that there were not always towels there and it was not easy to find a deck chair.
The child care was great and our daughter enjoyed it, and it was great that I could also go there with her on a Sunday and enjoy the toys.
The shuttle service for walks is a wonderful idea and the man taking us gave us some very interesting information about the area.
Concerning children (previous review) : the hotel offers a lot for children, but the clientele is mostly old, so it's not a children's hotel. I felt very self-conscious around the pool as people do eye you suspiciously when you are there with children, but we didn't have any problems. Also people who want peace can go to the sauna which is over 16s.
We loved our stay, especially the warm welcome at the reception and will hopefully be back.

For our fifth stay, our impressions are only reinforced.
It was a real pleasure to come back.
Without exception, all the staff is charming and very attentive, one feels recognized, not being a "number".
The hotel is very clean and well equipped. The meals are of very good quality.
It's just a pleasure to stay there.
A big thank you to the whole team of the Hotel Ludinmuehle,
Bravo and above all, don't change anything, you're on top.

We grandparents spent three wonderful days in the Ludin mill with our son, his wife and the three grandchildren (10, 13 and 16 years old). In addition to the excellent food, we especially enjoyed swimming and also ventured a "trip" to the varied spa area. The friendliness coupled with high professionalism of the people in the Ludinmühle convinced us. And we were lucky enough to be able to do two refreshing hikes in wintry snowy landscape. The days will remain in our best memory.
