Called in for lunch with our children (8 & 10), as they haven't been before and it's a couple of years since we last visited, after originally getting married here 12 years ago. Always a special place to visit, it was good to see that the bar and eating areas have been redecorated whilst still maintaining that historic inn relaxing...

Visited the Inn at Whitewell for the first time on the 18th February, and while it is a 40 minute drive from where we live can see it becoming a firm favourite. The Menu choice is not large in either the bar or restaurant menu, but by god what you get is a generous portion of well cooked delicious food....

The surrounding beautiful countryside and the fact our faithful hound was able to join us were two reasons for our visit to the Inn at Whitewall. We selected room 21 in The Coach House due to the fact it had direct access to its own garden. The C H sits on its own, a short walk away from the main...

Thank you I agree about the containers too, new garden gate made just waiting for sawsmith to brave the elements. Wifi all over the coach house, not sure why you couldn't connect, be a blessing fore me though, hate the pings Very glad you had a good breakfast and hopefully you'll come and see us again. Great pub food and drink here. Please make sure you check they are serving food because they don't serve all day on a weekend as you would expect on a weekend so double check ahead to avoid disappointment. The service, decor, food and drink have all been excellent when we have visited. If you are lucky you might be able...

"Babbling brook".... that's the mighty Hodder, source of of water for Preston and Blackburn but very pretty to look and fish in too, my son hooked and lost his first Sea-Trout last summer, I think he might be a fisherman now. Thank you for your words, very kind and much apprecaited. Regards Cb

Been here on many occasions over the years and food always up to standard, a great selection of beers and wines.. a good wine shop also on premises. My only criticism of this place is you can't book its a first come first served and whilst we didn't mind waiting it was quite a wait for a table so for...

Thank you for your lovely review, quite understand your point about booking but if we reserve tables in the bar we stop being a pub and become a restaurant, always happy to take bookings in the dinning room though. Thanks again. Regards Cb

Outstanding is the first word that comes to mind about this inn. A lovely building set in beautiful countryside. Very helpful and friendly staff. A pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. And some excellent food. My partner and I enjoyed a lovely lunch here. We certainly plan to return soon.

Time and time again the Inn at Whitewell gently gets on with looking after its visitors with an unhurried and very slick team of staff, smiles and hellos abound and a homely feel comes over the diner and his guests. An incredible wine selection is matched to comforting favourites on the menu with fish pie and sausage and mash leading...

After a morning out down the road at Bowland Wild Boar Park, we popped in here for a late lunch after a recommendation from a friend. Even on a Monday the place was packed but fortunately we did find a couple leaving so dived in and with time running out (lunch last orders is 2pm) quickly ordered our food, great...

This is a beautiful hotel situated in tranquil surroundings ideal for long walks. My partner and I stayed in room 15 overlooking the river...perfect and the most comfortable bed ever!!!
