My wife & I and another couple stayed here for 3 nights in Superior class rooms with balconies. The rooms are spacious & each has a theme. You can see the various rooms online. The balconies look directly out to the water & the tourist boats for hire. Therein lies the reason for only giving the hotel 4 stars. Across...

Hotel was top notch and right in the heart of the action. The heart of the action can be a bad thing as the lake cruise announcer is...

I arrived in Guatape without having booked accommodation and was looking for a private room in a hostal. I walked by Portobelo and thought I would stop to see how much it was per night. I had a double room on the third floor with full water view for $35 per night, it was a Monday but still great value....

Professional staff. Noralba was very helpful. The room was warm at night. We were tired from traveling and went to bed early, but a guy on a horse kept trotting past our room with a lot of noise until 11 pm. In all fairness, it was Saturday night. Good hotel and good breakfast.

We stayed at the Hotel Portobelo for three nights in July 2013. It is a very nice place. The room is very clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff is also very helpful and kind. This was our first stop in Colombia and we needed to find an ATM machine. The host walked us to a young man nearby...
