I've been staying here on yearly "girls weekends" trips for the past 5 years. Last week I brought the in-laws here and they were really impressed with the place. So they give a 5 star review too!

The owners are friendly and happy to have you there. They are wonderful people that go out their way to make sure your stay is comfortable as possible. This is a big part of the draw: Goat Mountain feels cozy & personal, not corporate and a revolving door of business.

The location is really good, right off the highway and each cabin is far apart, all surrounded by pretty forest.

We brought our 2 little dogs and was placed in a pet friendly cabin. This was super important - if they did not allow dogs, we would not have stayed there!

Interior decor is mountain cute & totally appropriate for the setting and the theme of the cabin (we stayed in Moose cabin which had moose artwork everywhere). Full kitchen is stocked with pretty much everything you could need.

The only drawback is they don't have ovens in the cabins. Having an oven would make it easier to pop some frozen wings in for supper instead of having to cook on the stovetop all the time. (But there is a BBQ at each cabin, a big plus!)

This place is FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC! We stayed in the Fishing Hole cabin. We were extremely lucky to get a cabin during the May long weekend at a moments notice. We arrived on Sunday and all the cabins were full, by Monday night we had the whole resort to ourselves. The cabin was so cozy! Warm light, beautiful handmade quilt, fishing decor (some hand-painted) on the wall, the gas fireplace was great for heat and ambiance. There is also a gas BBQ at every cabin. The entire cabin, down to the super comfy deck chairs, was immaculately clean. While we didn't make use of the fire pit, it is large and in the perfect spot for everyone. Probably a good way to meet new people.

The customer service provided by Dale and Shelley makes you feel welcome and comfortable. We would have loved to have spent a couple of hours with them but man, they are busy, hardworking people! We even asked to see their deluxe cabin, The Sasquatch, and Dale came over the next day to take us in and show us around. Very interesting stories.

The area is perfect for exploring with Frank Slide, Waterton, and Pincher Creek not far. There are few restaurants with interesting menus that will deliver, a liquor store (a must on vacation, am I right?), a gas station, and A&W within walking distance.

After recently moving to Southern Alberta we were in search of a new go to place for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and just simple getaways. My wife and I searched separately and in perfect sync, we both came up with Goat Mtn Get-A-Way. Check in was quick and easy and Dale was a most gracious host. We stayed in "Grizzly Cabin" and it was exactly what we wanted. It is a charming cedar prow cabin with a full kitchen, complete with all cook and dining ware, a very comfortable front room with satellite TV, gas fireplace and a view of the firepit right in front. It had one bedroom and a full bath. The cabin has lots of little touches showing the pride the owners have in their resort, including quilts, art, natural gas BBQ, and lots of accessories in keeping with the theme of the cabin.

We loved the setting as you are surrounded by mountains, trails and a nice fishing stream in behind. A nice treat was that it was a short walk from the Pure Country bar/restaurant and area liquor store.

The hosts maintain a very clean facility that we will definitely return to.

Terrific setup for our golf crew. Well appointed cabins with wifi and all the amenities to cook, relax and explore. The central firepit was a great spot to gather for our group and the hosts were not bothered by our 'socializing'.
Built into the woods and with enough privacy to feel alone but close enough to other cabins to stop by and visit each other.

Our group rented all of the cabins and we had so much fun here. Close to everything, owners were super friendly and accommodating. The fore pit area was a great meeting spot. We will be back!

Could not have asked for more. Went there for Christmas. Cabin was decorated with lights and a tree. Wonderful hospitality. I would go back in a heartbeat. Good sleep. Very comfortable. Nice walking trail close by. Great views.

After over a decade of patronage we were horribly disappointed when my sixty-year-old mother was berated and intimidated into an additional $100 charge for bringing our dog in to a pet friendly cabin. The owner stormed out of the office forced me to go away while he talked to my mother alone. Upon attempting to resolve the situation both owners proceeded to yell at the top of their lungs point fingers directly in our face and tell us that we were no longer welcome. It took a great deal of restraint to remain civil and not yell back this type of customer service should be completely unacceptable within the service and hospitality industry. The location is beautiful the cabins are great however the beds and Furniture are horribly uncomfortable and if you have any disputes with the owners good luck. Prior to this weekend's experience I would have rated it a four however we will not be returning and I believe that this place should be avoided due to the horrible lack of respect for customers.
The situation may have been easier to handle if we didn't spend the entire night tossing and turning while being woken up by loud partying from the cabin next to us.

My boyfriend, myself and another couple stayed in the Wolfsden cabin for 2 nights while attending a wedding in the Crowsnest Pass on the weekend. I had heard wonderful things about the Goat Mountain Getaway from a few friends so we decided to stay here as we do not have travel trailers and wanted to be close to where the wedding took place. We arrived at supper time and were greeted by very friendly and personable check-in staff. The cabin was well equipped, cozy and clean. There was no air conditioning in our cabin but as long as we kept the blinds closed during the day and opened windows at night, we were just fine. The photos attached for this location are up to date and accurate. Excellent value! The only thing that I would watch out for is that these cabins are close to Highway 3 and train tracks so you WILL hear this throughout your stay. Other than that, this place was amazing and I will definitely be going back and suggesting this to everyone that I know that may be looking for a place to stay in Blairmore area :)

I have stayed here three times in the past several years and have yet to be disappointed. The owners go out of their way to make you feel at home.
This B&B is my summer go-to when I want to just get away, but within easy access of the Crowsnest corridor.
There are several cabins to choose from, but I've always stayed at the Wolf Cabin. It's perfect for one small family (I stayed there for almost a week one summer, and my parents came and went now & then), an individual or couple or a pair (my cousin and I have stayed there).
It feels rustic, but has a kitchen with everything you need. There is a TV, DVD player, movies (and it's not far to a rental place if you want something else), an outdoor BBQ, porch with chairs, and best of all -- privacy.
The cabin itself is heated by an indoor gas fireplace, which is very cozy. There is electric heat as well, plenty of quilts.
The bathroom has a heat lamp, which is really well appreciated in the cool mountain air of the morning or evening. Towels and minor toiletries and a hair dryer are provided, as are blankets, comfy couches, TV, Wi-Fi, and a fully stocked kitchen with a dining nook (if you choose to eat inside).
The cabins have a punch number lock on them - no key needed.
I will say this: If you're looking for perfection and 5-star treatment, go away. This is Alberta rustic and you'll have to put up with some dust from the road. It's closer to the highway, so the echoing of vehicles from the mountains might disturb some, but it doesn't bother me a whit, as it's quiet at night.
There is plenty of moving air with the windows open for a fresh breeze. The mountains are right outside your window - across the road. You can't get much closer than that.
The only 'beef' I've ever had with this place is that the outdoor BBQs are older and therefore somewhat dirty, but that's easily worked around with tin foil and/or a good wire brush scrub.
I love this place. I come back time & again because it's not pretentious, I feel at home, and it's quiet.
Give it a try!
