Vetz K'aol is run by Eduardo and Elena, who are very warm and helpful. Their two children and various nephews are around, too, so it has a family atmosphere, which I especially appreciated because I was traveling alone. I stayed in a room with a private bath, and it was simple and comfortable. I ate many of my meals there...

The Posada Vetz K'aol was a fantastic bed and breakfast (and wonderful supper!) in Chajul. It reminded me of a lodge. I was there for four days, and stayed in a private room with a private bath with a friend. The highlight of the stay was definitely the food- chosen for us and cooked by our friendly and thoughtful host,...

No, they don't have wifi nor a restaurant. The manager will make you a decent espresso, though. There isn't much internet in the whole town, but if you...

As we drove towards Chajul we passed a huge sign for this hotel claiming hot water, cable TV, wifi, restaurant. The reality was no hot water, a space where the TV used to be, no wifi and no restaurant. Only 1 bed in all 5 rooms was made up. We asked for a second pillow as the bed only had...
