We had a lovely weekend break at Kimi Ora. The facilities were great. The accommodation had just about everything ... I guess we are used to microwaves, but in the scheme of things a minor that we didn't have one - I only would have...More
Beautiful and spacious rooms on a hill overlooking Kaiteriteri which is only a very short walk away. We are not vegetarians but the vegetarian restaurant was fabulous. Laundry facilities on site. We planned our own excursions but they can arrange for your water taxi rides...More
We visited this lovely Resort for the day. Lovely heated pool indoors, heated Spa pool indoors, Hot Tub Spa pool above the other pools. Able to have a hot shower afterwards. The most superb view of Kaiteriteri. Very relaxing afternoon.
Our daughter gave us a night at Kimi Ora Eco Resort for Xmas & despite the worst weather yet experienced for this summer we loved the place. The rooms were very comfortable with a great view from the one we were in. The service at...More
This is a fantastic hotel, the spa facilities are brilliant with an indoor and outdoor pool. The views over the Bay are lovely and the bedrooms are very comfortable. The beach is a short drive away or a 30 minute interesting walk through the countryside....More

There are bus/shuttle services that go from Nelson to Kaiteriteri. I didn't use it as we had a car when staying there, but they are daily and most likely more than 1 a day from various companies. Once you've booked your accommodation, I would suggest you contact the resort directly and ask them to either advise you which company to use, best way to get to them or they may even be able to organise a transfer for you from Nelson. They were very helpful and lovely to deal with when we stayed there.
Its a short walk from the main beach up to the resort although not the easiest with luggage.
A beautiful part of the country and you can get water taxis from the main beach up into the National Park for day trips if required. So you can see a lot without needing to have a car (as long as you are able to walk short distances).
I can recommend sea kayaking in the area and an overnight stay at the Awaroa Lodge near the top of the park if you want to spend a bit of time walking some of the tracks. There are plenty of day trip options too where you can visit some lovely beaches, and seal colonies and do some walks.

Hi. Kimi Ora Resort is about an hour from Nelson I am unsure of the buses that go to Kaiteriteri as we have never had to use them. The other alternative is to hire a car for a couple of day's. That will give you the freedom to look around a bit & you will want to as it's a beautiful part of the country.
