We had a wonderful few days in the stunning Abel Tasman area, staying in Bellbird Lodge, Anthea and Brian’s lovely home. We had a beautifully furnished and very comfortable bedroom and ensuite, amazing breakfasts, tasty nibbles, pre-dinner drinks and gorgeous views out over the Marlborough Sound. Their kindness in washing and drying our travel clothes was a very thoughtful touch....

Anthea and Brian could not have made us more welcome. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and the addition of a sitting area, fridge and tea making facilities was an added bonus. The breakfasts were amazing and varied including fabulous porridge which we had missed since leaving home. Anthea's attention to detail was second to none, home made chocolates...

We had an amazing stay with Anthea and Brian during our honeymoon in New Zealand in November. Everything was perfect and the food was exceptional, including Anthea's very careful catering to my celiac disease and glorious gluten-free recipes. The location is great - beautiful views, very relaxing, and just a short drive to Abel Tasman National Park. Anthea and Brian's...

Anthea and Brian are wonderful hosts. Their home is beautifully appointed and located with a marvelous view high up on the hill. The gardens add to the enjoyment and attract fun birds. If you catch a nice weather day, breakfast outside is a great treat. Beyond excellent is how we'd describe breakfast. It was well prepared, had great variety and...

The Bellbird Lodge defines quality in every way possible--luxurious accommodations in a peaceful setting with beautiful views, thoughtful and attentive hosts, amazing food, and trip-saving local advice. Anthea and Brian run the lodge and are the most gracious, attentive, and helpful hosts one could ever hope for. Anthea's cooking is absolutely amazing and should have a Michelin rating. The dishes...

I was staying at the Bellbird Lodge for 2 nights during my road trip on the south island in October 2016 and I have to say, it was the most memorable stay of all during my 12 days. You drive through Kaiteriteri and up the hill, after the beach. The Lodge is on top of the mountain and you need...

We stayed for 3 nights in the Rosewood Suite at the Bellbird Lodge - with a beautiful bedroom with comfortable king bed, separate small sitting room and 1 1/2 bathrooms. Anthea and Brian are the best hosts - offering warm hospitality, afternoon coffee and tea with home baked treats, evening wine tasting with appetizers, dinner recommendations and reservations, and delicious...

We stayed there for two nights. Every single detail in the room, house, garden and of course the hospitality, was perfect!! Beautifull view, delicious breakfast, wide selection of wine tasting, full attention to any wish we may have, warm hospitality, and yet with the right balance to give us privacy. If you have a chance to visit, dont miss it.

Bellbird Lodge was the perfect respite for my husband and I on a busy road trip through New Zealand. We enjoyed absolutely everything about Bellbird Lodge: delicious homemade food, a warm welcome, immaculate house, stunning views, the sounds of the Bellbirds and Tui birds playing, delightful conversation, and helpful advice on activities/restaurants in the area. Our favorite part of staying...
